@@David183CT Thanks for coming a long with us. Caldor is my favorite store from back in the day. I ended up taking the plastic caldor cart home after I made this video. It's in my garage now with two ames shopping carts.
I don't think I have seen a Rehrig cart with a rainbow-era Caldor logo; that one looks to be from the early to mid 1980s. The purple Rehrig with the Party City stickers most likely originated from a chain called "The Big Party", a party store chain Party City acquired in 2000. The Ames one (also a Rehrig) was definitely from around the time they switched their color scheme from red to green (1994). As for the second metal Unarco cart you showed with the end gate in the basket; I have no idea. The info is on those plates above the rear pillars, specifically on the right side.
Thanks for all of the added information. We really appreciate it. I live in the general area we had the big party that converted into party city. Party city went out of business about three or four years ago in the shopping mall up the hill from here. I remember seeing this caldor shopping cart when I was a kid in the woods when I was walking back there. It's crazy to think how someone was stealing all of these shopping carts and just dumping them in the woods. The two metal shopping carts are caldor I'm not sure about the other ones that are really burried. Have a nice weekend.
