Wow, not a Dire Straights demo for once. Is Marantz the best pairing with Monitor audio ? Say SIlver 300 or 500 ? If your looking for everything, like imaging, tonal balance, detail, midrange and low, resolution ? I'm new to this and i'm looking at amps around £1500 maybe with network streaming. Or which out of amps such as Yamaha, Cambridge Audio or NAD or Audiolab be best for pairing with the MA ?
The furniture does not like that amount of weight from all the amps, looks like it wanna break someday. I am waiting for my 300's and I have a Marantz 7015 sounds great with the much older MA rx6's
300s don't like corners, they boom, they need a meter behind them and at least 750mm at the sides, you also need to move the Marantz off the unit and onto a HiFi support that will stop the vibration from killing the detail. Don't forget speakers like a little toe in to create a sound stage and hard surfaces create reflections making the sound arrive at your ears from everywhere.
Hey, The model i choose would have to make do with being around 4.5 to 5.5ft apart my room has a door that sadly gets in the way width wise and the set of 4 tier drawers from the wall on the other side facing the sides of the speaker. Could you recommend ?
You should do a video on your amp and choices, loved watching your videos over the years.
It would sound even better if the speaker was behind the curtain.😊😊

Before I had a Yamaha amp. When I switched to Marantz 7015 I got so much more depth and warm sound more detailed

Bit concerned with the lack of space between amps.
