Great video, and wonderful company you were in! I can see Pyrite being the “Fools Gold”…..Could have “fooled” me.😉 GL and HH on your next adventure🙏🏼🍀👋🏼🇨🇦
Excellent rummage around,,actually super day out in the thick of nature. Don’t know why but you were thought of all week so. It was a pleasant surprise to see a notification of an upload. Best wishes sent sir 👌😃👍👍
im going in portugal next week, i wanted to visit a famous manganese mines but i wasnt able to get in contact with them, ill try to bring you some minerals back from there, have a good one
The swarf can be cleaned from saw or lap blades by cutting afterwards with obsidian. Can slice any solid rock as thin as you want but you lose material by the width of the saw blade. Typical for most cabs is about 1/4 inch. If the rock isn't solid, it may need to be stabilized.
I could see the noice when it was cut, before that I just saw green. I know my sight is failing and seems like it's quite rapidly getting worse, I'm missing out on the beauty and that's not good, opticians again real soon and change my name, magoo.
I was watching Battle ship the other day and I thought meMiner and Liam Neeson could pass for brothers! You look related! I am certain that this ain't the first time you have heard this? Now I have got to know, has someone said that about you before?
Good to know you are still in good health

I almost got fooled by some that the fresh break looked like silver too. The mine had some silver, so it wasn't out of the question.

Happy new year!
Those rocks that you cut open on the Tile Saw....what was the shiny stuff, was it Silver..? Maybe Pyrite..? Copper/Gold..? =)
There was silver and gold in the area but from just looking at the rocks, I'd say the majority here was chalcopyrite.
Great finds! Wondering if the copper being soft, gums-up your blade/wheel? How thin can you slice the various rocks/min. copper vs silver ore?
