The part about enjoying the process of VOD review hit home for me. As a lacrosse player, I used to love watching VODs. When I started playing Valorant it was the same. You need the passion and curiosity to improve 😁
I played Fortnite casually with friends but then I played for much less in chapter 4 and played valorant. And the other day I played valorant and oof at I shit at aiming in it, I used to be a guardian main and have a 30% headshot as a silver
I think this ”enjoying the process and having fun” is in everything u want to learn in life in school it was way easier to improve when i had fun while studying.
So true. Applicable to all areas of life not just esports. I come from the business consulting background and I pretty much say the same stuff just in a completely different context. Like, focus on reps so much that it's hard not to hit your milestones. Fall in love with improvement instead of victories, it'll take you further etc. P. S. Love your new look, Coach, fits you well.
You're on the right path, sir. I'm a gamer dad who is just trying to become a better teammate for my son and I suck terribly at FN BR but I keep trying anyway if for nothing else then at least to keep congruent with what I'm teaching my kids. It's not about winning, it's about who you become in the process. And, who knows maybe one day I'll become a decent player as well. Currently, at times I feel my son would benefit more from an extra slot for heals than me as a teammate 😅
if you hate what your doing take a break. I started getting super demotivated during c3 and barely played it. I took like a full 2 seasons off which was c5 s1 and 2. I was so much happier once i started watching fn vids and getting motivated to improve after that break. Taking breaks is crucial. My duo went on a trip this week and so i took 4 days off and have set new records in aimlabs even after 4 days of not playing anything.
Great video! I completely agree with almost everything you've said. I believe it will help many young prodigies develop a strong mindset for success, not just in Fortnite but more importantly in life!♥

Watch his “Fortnite fundamentals” playlist. You don’t have to watch all of it as some of the videos just repeat the same thing, but it’ll teach you what you need to do. Then vod review your fights to find out your mistakes, I recommend doing this for creative fights against different enemies each time, because in br it might not be a fighting but a general decision making issue that really ended up getting you killed. You should watch the playlist first because it’ll help you identify your mistakes much easier.
This guy is jokes! he just the, buy my $100 course [fortnite edition] guy also how can you coach anyone to pro when you have no experience of being pro? quote 1 - you shouldn't play to win. (in a game where winning gives the most points) quote 2 - don't set goals quote 3 - you dont know what you want quote 4 - most peoples advice is not good advice (yeah but not zykoma he know what hes talking about) bros ego is to big! he's just yapping, he couldn't even coach him self to pro let alone anyone else, im sure there are alot of good coaches out there, but he aint one of them, further more the game is for 13 year-olds, yes there's a lot of money to be made but you don't need coaching just practise like everyone else.
The coachs or players dont need credential or shit, thats the most old lie "ad hominem Falacy" some tiny % of your tips are right, but you are stepping on your tail with everything to say by not knowing anything about reasoning or rather, epistemology.
