INGREDIENT SHRINE:
1 Black Dirt Region Yellow Onion
3 Garlic Cloves
1 Pound Persian Cucumbers
1 Ginger Knob
1 Green Cabbage
1 Napa Cabbage ( I think )
SALT!
Thyme, Rosemary, Sage, Fresh Bay Leaves - Two, tree sprigs. Whatever you can get! Whatever you like best! Whatever feels right!
1.5 Tbs Whole Yellow Mustard Seeds
2 Tbs Sesame Seeds
63* Sichuan peppercorns
( Maybe ) Some homemade Shoyu Sambal… ( Also maybbbee we make a video showing you how to make this soon )
**Important Note** Make sure to Get Rid of Boo Boo Bang Bangs
*We have no idea how many Sichuan pepcorns he actually used...

Brad didn’t take a long time, he had this channel fermenting for us
He had it in a fermentation jar, burping it twice a day for a few months.

The only downside to this channel is I don't have 100 episodes to binge like I did when I first found 'its alive'. Good to have you back man!

I’m loving it but I do feel super motion sick just a few minutes in. Camera man doesn’t need to match Brad’s chaotic vibe 😂

Most of the time I’m trying to remove chaos from my life. Brad’s content is the happy exception.

Love it! Two quick constructive critiques on editing
1. It’s hard to read the text in the side bars (like 4:05) with the awkward spacing and calm green color. Maybe it’s the font too, but it needs some tweaking.
2. Brad and the studio space is chaotic enough (in a great way), so moving the camera a ton and having tons of cuts mid sentence pushes it over the top. Stay simple with the camera and cuts and let Brad do the work
Besides that the show looks awesome. A happy subscriber right here!

I was also thinking this - very excited to see Brad back on the screen, though some of the excessive editing, particularly when Brad is mid-sentence, makes it a bit tough to watch. I disagree about the camera though, the dynamic & up close filming feels very Brad & co. - might just take them some time to find a good flow in that sense.
I agree! Brad these videos are great, but please ease up on the pop up text and excess cuts… FWIW the “previous” videos from the other place seemed to balance the action well with witty cut-ins. It looks like your editor is overdoing it a bit! Thanks!

Literally the only thing I watch on BA is the Reverse Magic of Morocco. I’ve tried to watch some of the other chefs but none of them have grabbed me. Zut alors 🤷🏼♀️

I agree, it's not the same at BA, too bad, I watched it pre covid all the time... I just can't get into all the new chefs. I do watch Chris reverse engineer though.

Loved this video, thanks Brad and team! I've been threatening to make my own Kraut for months now, but always get a little stressed by the recipes I've read online. This video made me remember that it's just some veggies and some other things and I can do it so easily!
I in fact do have a cabbage killer and love it ! I run a pizza shop in upstate NY and even use it to take slices in and out of the oven in a bind. Great Knife !

hell yes! more brad content! Only major feedback is the frequency of handheld camera movements. This video made me dizzy at certain parts. Hope future videos have less camera movement.

What is the reasoning behind keeping pearls in the salt? Do they impart any flavour, or only maintain textural independence?
