If only there was an ending where he was rewarded for all his suffering, instead of his memory and experiences being wiped from his mind.

Well what do you expect? All the heroins heck even Yuuko got their respective end in unlimited (Wish Marimo got one too if you know what I mean Giggity!) So having Sumika up for the True route in ALT isn't really that bad since the whole story practically revolved around her and the BETA, pretty much I think she deserves the true route since she just got all the shit thrown into her as well, her fate was far worse than Takeru, I mean At least Takeru forgot his past while She remembers them.
What angered me is that while Extra and Unlimited gave Takeru the illusion of a choice, then in Alternative the whole universe conspired to pair Takeru and Sumika. Had she won fairly I wouldn't complain but Takeru linked the nostalgia from the Extra world to Sumika, he conveniently forgot he had fallen in love with the other girls in Unlimited, and in order for Alternative IV to succeed he had to spend more time with Sumika. I know it's her route but they pretty much shoved her down his throat.
imagine what happened in the possible scenarios where Takeru fell in love with someone else than what remained of Sumika. What would have happened? Well the 00-unit would have ceased to function, last operation wouldn't have happened and they probably died somewhere sooner or later resulting in new timeloop until 00-unit gets what she wants. Did Takeru realize that (as his love felt more shallower than in extra) or was what we saw only just one lucky outcome that ended the loop.
Well to be fair, the whole mess of Extra Takeru got transferred to Betaverse is because of Betaverse Sumika, and Alternative is more or less just Unlimited Sumika route

I tried to read One last time into the loop at the time it was being published. It started really strong, but lately it basically throw everything Muv Luv into the garbage. Sure, I like a super robot story as much as anyone else, but when Takeru was pulling feats that even people like Kouji Kabuto, Simon the digger or Ryoma Nagare would find imposible with the kind of resources there are... Muv Luv Alternative, specially Takeru's development arc, was about keep going until you win, not giving up because of the sacrifices and the blood in your hands. One Last Time Into The Loop at certain point just became a feels good story. I don't know if it improved, because at that point I was unable to keep going.
Well that's mean, she was being raped so she couldn't really help it, I mean even Meiya couldn't help it when the superior Beta was also trying to attempt to rape her, in the end no one is safe from Rape not even Takeru LOL!. One traumatic lesson of the story No one is safe from Tentacle Rape, Let's just be glad the Original Takeru there Got Eaten by those Infantry type BETAs rather than being Raped alongside Sumika cause that would be a much more weirder flashback if Takeru saw himself there

Not only the other girls routes in Unlimited, even the events in Sumika's Extra route in which Alternative is so heavily based on might not have happened at all. Don't forget Takeru went into the BETA verse after Meiya and Sumika confessed in the hot spring. Before he had to chose between both of them. No route can be disproved nor taken as canon either. tl;dr Alternative just happens to be Sumika's route, deal with it.
I would pay good money for a perfect run DLC. One more round where Takeru follows the same path as alternative, but manages to save all the fallen. I believe in herogane.

So the ending would be one where he sabotages Sumika's plan to kill herself, doesn't lose any commerades, and doesn't go back to the extra world thus preventing all the causality crap carrying over. An alternate ending where he stays in the Beta world and saves everyone. At the very least in the perfect go round, sumika would be the only one to do a sacrifice kill. The entire cast didn't need to get wiped out, it was getting a bit excessive towards the end.
Then its settled, there is no further any reason to debate about, you just don't like her, that is all. Now if you would excuse me, I have a Muv luv Novel to read.

Dude, I never said anything about her not deserving the true route. Just saying they could have fleshed the relationship a little more. Maybe having her interacting more with the other girls like in Extra after she stopped being autistic. Not by having her monopolizing him and killing the whole squad off. Also it was her who made him forget about the loops. I'm pretty sure it was subconscious, thus not her fault, but still,my point stands. The plot forced them together.
As revennge said the casuality conductor thing pretty much forced Takeru to end up with her. I don't have anything against Extra Sumika but Alternative is another story. The scene where both of them were flirting in the cockpit and unintentionally letting the girls listen was plain cruel and pissed me off. Takeru might have matured a lot since Unlimited but he became an insensitive jerk in Alternative and that's a minus in my book. And don't get me started with the Noble Confidant crap.
I only dislike of of alternative couse is so dam focus on sumika , sumika , sumika . All the others characters are better than her. I hate to pity character couse they ve a bad experience. While the others ve experience like her ( not tentacle rape of course) , they all stand up and fight , but she needs so much help only to feel normal ( only couse she is the 00 unit, dam gundam plagio) .
*Spoiler* Actually I just don't like her because she's the *ditzy (second) childhood friend from next door* character that has no real development in the story. Mieya however goes through initiative to find Takeru and try make him love her even having to overcome parts of herself. Even when you're not on her route she still does her best for him. And all through Alternative, Meiya's there for him by his side. How he doesn't fall for her is because of plot convenience for age.
Surprised Sumika-fan didn't get at you, Imo Sumika is likeable, after alternative I couldn't see Takeru with someone else than Sumika even tho it means Meiya got to end up with Ikaruga. I'd still pick Meiya every time I re-read it tho

I don't have anything against Extra Sumika but Alternative is another story. The scene where both of them were flirting in the cockpit and unintentionally letting the girls listen was plain cruel and pissed me off. Takeru might have matured a lot since Unlimited but he became an insensitive jerk in Alternative and that's a minus in my book. And don't get me started with the Noble Confidant crap.

I only dislike of of alternative couse is so dam focus on sumika , sumika , sumika . All the others characters are better than her. I hate to pity character couse they ve a bad experience. While the others ve experience like her ( not tentacle rape of course) , they all stand up and fight , but she needs so much help only to feel normal ( only couse she is the 00 unit, dam gundam plagio) .

Actually I just don't like her because she's the *ditzy (second) childhood friend from next door* character that has no real development in the story. Mieya however goes through initiative to find Takeru and try make him love her even having to overcome parts of herself. Even when you're not on her route she still does her best for him. And all through Alternative, Meiya's there for him by his side. How he doesn't fall for her is because of plot convenience for age.

Surprised Sumika-fan didn't get at you, Imo Sumika is likeable, after alternative I couldn't see Takeru with someone else than Sumika even tho it means Meiya got to end up with Ikaruga. I'd still pick Meiya every time I re-read it tho
