Wunderschöne und detaillierte Interpretation dieses spätromantischen und perfekt komponierten Quintetts in verschiedenen Tempi mit seidigen doch gut phrasierten Tönen beider Violinen, mildem doch ebenso gut phrasiertem Ton der Bratsche, tiefem Ton des Violoncellos und klarem Klang des Klaviers. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt melodisch. Im Kontrast klingt der letzte Satz echt lebhaft und auch überzeugend. Die intime und perfekt entsprechende Miteinanderwirkung zwischen den fünf Virtuosen ist wahrhaft bewundernswert. Einfach wunderbar!
Yet another recherché composer resurrected by Bartje! I definitely have to add some Klughardt to my CD collection. Why, though, didn't Kughardt orchestrate this?
I have to listen to a piece 2 or 3 times before I feel the essence of the composition. The piano work is excellent, but I will confess I prefer a concerto to a Quintet.
