I'm not sure if the coin pusher machine would accept them, but I think Canadian quarters might be ferrous.
Unfortunately, you'd need a very powerful electromagnet for a coin-sized object to push against all that mass on the bottom tray, and I'm sure any magnet of that strength would be enough to malfunction the machine...not to mention the problem of carrying such a magnet around...

I'm not advocating stealing, but if you're going to be using fake coins, make them out of lead. They'll be harder to stack, so you'll end up pushing the coins more often than not. Plus lead is cheap/free, and a coin mold is easy to make with a beer can and/or soft wood. Washers are easy to spot, so somebody will catch on real quick and throw your ass out.
Velno Onlev I'd say you'd get caught quicker, considering the noise the lead would make hitting the first level. I'm also not condoning stealing, actually stuff it, these machines steal from kids. Do whatever works just don't use your own money. If someone susses you out, RUN.

There is a little door by the place where the coins come out. When the machine is titled, it closes and there would be no payout.
