The states are supposed to set their election rules. The only things that the federal government should mandate about voting is universal requirements for voter id and an absolute clarification that you must be a US citizen to vote.
I wouldn't be against the Fed gov't making a paid federal voting holiday for presidential elections so there's no excuse for not having enough time to vote and whatnot

We are watching the destruction of our constitution. If we continue down the path of housing, healthcare and voting rights for individuals that are not citizens, how does that not fall into buying votes? I understand that many people want to enjoy Americans vast opportunity but there has to be an end to this. These people talk about the right to vote as if it’s the ability to drink water. It’s insane. If I wanted to move to another country I would have to jump through flaming hoops the whole way. This is a clear destruction of the leader of the free world. There is a reason this country became successful. Allow individuals to prosper and live. We might be witness to it’s end if the political powers that are profiting and in office continue to hold positions of power. America became great by following the constitution. We lose it we are doomed.
