Hello, Ken! Shimano brakes are really good. Friend of mine has a cheap two pistons shimano brakes. They have good enough perfomance. Not for racing for sure, but for 95% riding conditions they are good. Brakepads really cheap on aliexpress. I have first gen Avid Code 5 brakes. They really powerful but in comparison with these shimano, they have almost the same perfomance. May be code brakes hava better heat decipation because of bigger brakepads. P.S. Air technician is a really interesting job. I like to watch videos about aircrafts sometimes.
I think the problem is that the piston diameter is too big. I bought I mod kit for about £30 and fitted it, bit fiddly getting to the circlip and then refitting it, but done it, bled it and seems to be working great now, will see what happens in the summer when the problem used to occur.
Thanks for the video! After some fight I'm almost done, but...The piston completly stucked, I can't move it. I tried with 9bar compressed air, but it didn't move. Do you have any idea how to move it out without destroying it? Thanks!
You're welcome, Black Priest! Scenario 1: when you apply compressed air to cylinder outlet, try to push piston inside to just move it somehow. Scenario 2: try to drill piston with a small drill on the center and srew some screw to it. Then try to pry it out.
in case someone reads this: just unmount the brake hose and push the piston backwards with an hallen key (or similar) from the side of the hose. no air to the circuit, easier to work, etc
What size of the key do you need to remove the break lever? T10 seems to be too big (smallest size I own), but when I search for tooling needed for sram breaks it gives you only T10. Thank you
You'll be surprized, but i unscrew it with tiny flat screw driver. I can suggest you to search for tools for electronics. There are many sizes and types. Maybe it will help you.

The pliers which i had use here are broken. It was circlip pliers in the past. I think you can search for pliers on ebay or amazon.
