Isabel, I know you'll probably never read this, but I hope you somehow can feel my gratitude. Your videos have helped bring me down to earth in the last couple years. I agree it is so grounding to see & hear like minded people, they bring us back to our true self :) I can only say I think the way she is, is because she does not follow the system and is in nature a lot, well she lives there... and as you can see so many people are doing this these days, they go to live rural..well the answer is we should spend lot of the time in nature so it rewards us in a way we become more conscious and we realize priorities in our life , like Isabel does these things :)

completely bombed a medical school entrance exam today-the GAMSAT for those who know KNOW. I've been so gloomy all day since. I really want to be a doctor. its kind of my reason for living right now, getting into med school. My tomatoes, peppers, herbs and eggplant did very well this year! Lol, I also made some of my salsa a bit too hot. For anyone else who may have done that, just use it over corn grits or polenta. It really helps lessen the heat and it's so calmingly delicious! Another awesome video, thanks!

I'm surprised that you don't have a dehydrator. The best addition to my kitchen in years... I use it to dry herbs and tomatoes. I dry snacks of fruits and veggies. Better than chips...

It's so true that doing things that help us anchor and align us with ourselves is a key to life! I make TH-cam videos in a similar spirit as you but I'm currently living and traveling on the road with my two cats (almost a year now!) and finding a way to consistently have the time and space to do that things that support has been one of the greatest lessons... but it's so worth leaning into because once we find the space to do it, it feels like your inner world and outer world align. Have you thought about purchasing a snowmobile to deal with the winter snows? you could leave your car at the end of your driveway and use the snowmobile to get back and fourth? you could also buy a four wheeler with a plow. there are definitely options besides the giant task of clearing trees

I took about a three month vacation from my smartphone. And TH-cam. I had a good Summer. But the shots, and video, and lighting just in the first two minutes of this video are just incredible, Isabel. I'll have to catch up on three months of videos. The photography and sound is so good. Glad Isabel & Logan had a good Summer.
Love you Isabel, you have mastered at a young age how to live with less stress with the simple things in life. I adore you and your home. Wish I could do the same and I am your parents age. She used her pressure cooker to water bath the jars of salsa. She didn't use the pressure function, if that helps.

You should try and dry your herbs so you can use them in the future for cooking?
For washing dishes use bronners sal suds. All the other soaps have a bit of a greasy residue. Inspired to make Baba ghanouj.

Next time you make baba ghanouj, try puncturing them with holes and roasting outside on the fire. That's how you bring in that smoky, charred deliciousness in the ghanouj. 💚💚 💚 Also, I highly recommend making smoked paprika tomato jam and canning it (with the orange ones).
