11:04 which is also a subtle nod to the Iron Man 3 Theme
11:13 the civil war emotional theme

    This analysis is amazing! Congratulations!
I noticed Wanda and Agatha's motifs are both built from a minor triad, except that Agatha's adds an augmented 4th from the root of the triad. Perhaps the minor triad relates to witches/sorcerers in this context. If that's the case, the different voicings would imply different characters, but the quality of the triads would put them all together under one big umbrella of witches/sorcerers.
That said, with the idea that Agatha can somehow become Wanda's mentor, it would be fun to think that the tritone in WandaVision's motif comes from this relationship between Wanda and Agatha...
    A bit of a stretch, I know, I know... but still... :)
    Amazing channel! :D

Glad you enjoyed! And yeah that's interesting! I'm curious if we'll see a return of Agatha's motif in "Agatha: House of Harkness"!

This is a really good video. It was a bit hard to find when searching later, though, so maybe you gotta tweak the SEO? You deserve more views.

Thank you! I feel like I've tried everything to get this video to be discovered, honestly not sure if there's even an audience for it.. But I think I'll take another shot at improving the discoverability!

Great video! Only thing I think you missed is that Visions motif is actually the Porch theme from the end of Infinity War

      @Nomax_Official  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Thanks! I’m afraid I have to debunk that one though. You’re not wrong, it is nearly identical, except for the fact that porch repeats one note, but the fact that there’s no logical explanation as to why they’d refer to it is why I don’t think it’s intended and didn’t include it in the video :)
Christophe Beck (the composer) knows very well what he’s doing, there’s always some logic behind it!

@@Nomax_Official I assumed they used the theme as it signified Thanos’s win in Infinity War, including the killing of Vision (theme actually starts with the camera panning from Visions body, then fading to Thanos). Bringing back that theme makes sense when Agatha is telling Vision that he is dead.

@@TSmith13 To confirm that a motif is connected to a certain character the motif needs to appear at least twice in the medium accompanied with the appearance of the same character (either physically or referenced in the scene). Otherwise there's just no way to confirm if it was meant as that. You can easily confirm that 'Porch' is Thanos' resting theme and nothing else.
If they really wanted to reference some motif somehow connected to Vision from previous MCU movies it would've made much more sense to refer to Vision's motif from Avengers: Age of Ultron!
But of course take my words with a grain of salt because this is probably something only Christophe Beck could answer haha

@@Nomax_Official Sorry I’m late with the response. The “Porch” theme also plays in Endgame when the Avengers confront Thanos at the garden and leave without the stones, so I think it’s safe to say that theme signifies the Avengers loss. Vision’s death was a part of the Avengers loss, so I personally believe the callback was intentional. It just fits too perfectly, for the music that plays when we first see Visions body to be the music we hear when Agatha tells Vision that he is dead. It may not be the dictionary example of a motif, but I think it was certainly an intentional reference.

@@TSmith13 I don't think it's a theme to signify the Avengers loss. "Porch" is Thanos' resting theme. Look at Infinity War at 01:47:52 when Doctor Strange asks Thanos what he will do after he's done with the stones: 'I finally rest', while "Porch" plays. In Endgame it plays right after they kill Thanos, musically telling us Thanos is resting (not that the avengers lost). And I also have to add that Visions motif in WandaVision plays for the first time in Episode 6 at 16:55 at the moment Vision flies into the air (and goes on his own journey for the first time in the show). It doesn't start playing when Agatha tells Vision he's dead, it happens way in advance..

You should do agatha all along if you have the time! I already found some motifs: Agatha's new theme, old theme, Alice Wu's theme, another motif i dont have a name for yet, the road's theme 1 and 2

The beginning of the sokovia theme sounds a lot like the spiderman theme.
