It’s a lot of fun! Just watch out for unsportsmanlike racers and understand that people are going to knock you off the track a lot. I just did my first five races, and already got a podium out of it! Have fun!
They are fun but until you get to A lobby’s, the racing can be interesting to say the least. Lots of drivers don’t understand the basic racing etiquette and they just plow into you and try running you off the track. I love watching Rory’s videos as they have made me a lot better racer and dropped my times tremendously.
Same for me & my son. Been playing single player & yesterday my son had his first online race 🎉

Grid start is great just wish there was more to race than Gr3 and Gr4 most weeks. This week I hate the cars and I hate the tracks...the grind to A+ rating is no fun whatsoever :(
On a serious note buddy, why are you using that wheel at your level of racing, G Pro like Suellio (a fast iRacer, teacher and irl racer) or if you must, at a minimum get a fanatic, that's if it comes, if it survives as a company, will corsair keep it? Will they liquidate it? Will your order be months or years? Will your pcb melt? Sorry Fanatec boys, just playin' wi ya 😂

Fanatec i'm jealous of, their peripherals are awesome, i'd never buy an F1 wheel with a screen tbh but shifter and handbrake are 👌👌

I never do daily races because I'm so nervous about being completely outclassed but this race I've averaged around a 4th or 5th. I couldve won a race last night but I ran wide at the Schumacher S. I got down into the high 1.58s in the 2015 Audi R8 LMS. (this was all done on a controller)
Let the matchmaking worry about that! Even when I was just starting I found the game was good about matching me with similar skill players.
Yeah I've been lucky and put in lobbies with some really good clean drivers. Daily B was a bit of a mess but that race is pants so Ive only done it a few times

my experience lately....yes the races, tracks, cars are pretty good....but the drivers...just awful...in every other race there are some muppets that push you out on purpose...rare to get a clean race...very frustrating... they need to adjust the penalty system on that... it isnt any fun
I don't know why polyphony were so hard for rolling starts. 99% of the races were rolling starts in the early single player experience and I was like why

I ended up using the Huracan, it is nice we all don't have to use the exact same car to be competitive

totally agree with you Rory,grid starts MUST stay, I'm in C/B dr and it's the same deal in these lower lobbies,the whole race is so much better, ghosted certainly made you work for that win and sooo clean & respectful,well done on a hard race win,great video,love the music on last lap,nice touch Rory,hope grid starts come to race b as well! also the tyre and suspension tweaks made in last update has helped too, moving in the right direction,who would of thought a couple of small changes could make such a big difference! cudos to PD 😊 great stuff as always Rory,spot on 👍
