This is a nicely modified M135i, agree this is how it should have come from BMW

@Jack Daniels not even comparable, this thing would gap a focus rs, you're comparing an american car vs a german? lol this thing is quick, 0-60 in 4.4 seconds, whereas an rs does it in 4.7... and this bmw even has 44 less hp, although rs does look better, not becuz i like the look , i just think that bmw could've done better with the m135/m235 look wise🤷🏻♂️

The M135i is hugely underrated as a fun daily driver, in my opinion. This steering wheel upgrade is fantastic, but that exhaust would drive me mad

Yeah I love mine it's really fun daily driver. This upgraded exhaust would cause me headaches real quick. Oh yeah and as an extra bonus you got "THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT MEET EMISSION COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR STREET OR HIGHWAY USE". But to each their own and I'm sure Kenny has so so much fun with his F40.

The bmw we had 7 years ago didn't have any issues either. And it was a misused (aka never got to get warm normally) long distance Autobahn clapper.
The current 320d (other than some tech gizmos) doesn't offer anything more than the old one. I'd argue the g80's automatic we have atm shifts worse. @@makvist
The only thing which made BMW cars nicer then most other brands was RWD, and yeah they killed it.

AWD is better in pretty much every way you can think of, RWD is one of those "old school feeling" attachment people have but AWD wins objectively speaking.

Because the FWD version certainly didn't get cheaper (although the FWD concept generally is cheaper) and 98% of people don't care if their car is RWD or FWD. So how exactly is it more appealing?

@@user-jq1kq9hy1t You dont need to drive it to realize that its shit compared to the previous ones. Swapping a 3 litre inline six with 340hp that drives the rearaxle for a 2 litre inline four with 306 hp that drives the front...
And the design with the short hood is also a downgrade and so is the noise...

BMW really massacred (the word is a bit strong) the 1 Serie design...
It was such a cool compact/sport car, with its long hood and its inline 6. Looks like they turned it into a compact/family/small crossover car...
Like so many cars nowadays, a jack of all trades but a master of none.
F20/21 is/was one of the most ugliest BMW Designs ever.
The new 2 series kinda saves itself but the 1 series really flopped

I love mine! What a stunning new design and the interieur is a quantum leap to its previous ones
The long hood was what made the design so good, now its just generic proportions.. I dont think its good design..

Your M47 is running on 1.8 bars of actual boost. 1 bar is the atmospheric pressure. (I also run on 2.8 bar on my M47 :P )

I have one of these stock and the sound is so rubbish inside the cabin, had a friend drive mine past me in sports and I personally thought it sounded great for a 4 pot and it sounded beefy but yeah obviously could be better

Imagine swapping out a three litre six cylinder with 340 horsepower and 500nm driving the rear wheels for a two litre four with 306 bhp and 450nm with a front drive bias. Oh wait, BMW did. It's even worse when you realise the previous B58 engine is good for about 415 horsepower with a simple tune on stock hardware and 450bhp with a couple of relatively cheap bolt ons. The comedy of B58 and N55 owners arguing about which sounds best, and then this dismal farter replaces the creamy six cylinder noise. Well done for eliminating all the best 1 series unique selling points for something that is lost in the crowd of identical recipe cars. Pass.
Mate… you can still buy the old m135i, it’s not like you MUST buy the new one.. if you still wanna complain then cry about it 😂

Imagine not realising BMW is going where the money and high demand market is, there’s nothing wrong with a 4 cylinder, 4wd, 2.0L turbo engine. They’re fast, can sound alright, practical and has useable power. There’s a reason bmw wasn’t selling as many 3.0L 140i’s as the 2.0L competitors S3, golf r etc…

@@GTXNeo he explain in the video, you just need to listen, black 8 R when was tested, condition was almost perfect with summer tires, the lapiz blue when was tested condiotion was very bad, winter time, cold tarmac, and winter tires. That is the reason of this 0.7 sec time. Cheers!

Can you imagine this exterior with RWD? Would have been such a cool car, almost a masterpiece IMO with the longer front. The only thing I like about this car is the back. All the other angles are seriously shit AKA looking like any other car in the class.
They changed the 1 series so it could compete with the likes of the Golf R, changing from a 6Cylinder to 4 and the drivetrain to 4wd, dont understand why they would do this when they were already leagues ahead of those competitors and in their own league with the old m140i
