Looks like it has potential to be a sweet little option for certain trips you want to make Marc. I'm sure you'll figure out a build that will suit your individual needs. I actually enjoy working on those kinds of projects, of course I realize you will have to do it on a shoestring, but it gets my juices flowing when I see a blank slate like that. The simple vent will be just fine since you have it already and if you ever wanted to switch it out for the Max Air the hard work is done after the hole is cut in the roof...Have fun with it!
Hey, Kenny! I've been fussing with it a little today. I think I'll be able to get most of what I talked about done. One thing about having a vent on that small roof, it will impact my ability to get a larger solar panel mounted. I suppose the vent doesn't have to fully open, just cracking it might be good enough. For now I just want to make it work better. Later on I'll spend some money on insulation and some other modifications I have in mind.
@@camplapidary ah, that's true I hadn't thought about fitting some panels up there. well it will be interesting seeing what you do with it, even if it's just getting it started and functional to sleep in it.
I can't wait to see the finished product looks like. I know you put a lot of thought and planning into doing this. Customizing it to fit your specific needs is awesome!
First a temporary design, then perhaps something better built later on. Eventually I have plans to do a popout on the passenger side. I'd like to be able to sleep sideways in it.
One thing I have seen on campers that I like is a compartment accessable from the outside for a pull out kitchen area or a fold down/up counter. Also a box on the hitch frame for more storage options?
Good morning, Patricia! There definitely are some possibilities here. Another to consider is a stove shelf attached to the door, I've seen that a few times on others builds.
@@camplapidary That would be a great idea since the door is hinged to be a door instead of a ramp. You could even put sectioned pockets in a shelf for that above the stove shelf! Great idea!

@@camplapidary that would be totally awesome! Turn a small footprint into a large comfortable Cargo Trailer that is compact to pull! Genius!

What’s the interior height
4 feet 3 inches maximum interior height. There are some spots where it's lower.
