bassiest bass version I have found . He is singing in Dminor (down from the original F#minor - good for him!). but also the most depressing and over-acted (vocally) version I have heard, and yet the most under-acted phyrsically. Guy looks like a statue. oh yeah, he hits the high note in the final verse (D natural) pretty darn flat. And that is sad, cuz that arpeggio is really nice when you nail it close to right on. Hey why am I saying all this stuff? I sing the song. I like it. After my Russian girl friend died, the song means more to me than ever. I am gonna go for C#minor - one 1/2 step below this one. Another thing, I am gonna do it a cappella - why? the piano part is, lets face it, tedious as heck with that overly repeated motif - its like a jackhammer or dentist drill - like ok, Rachmaninoff, enough with that motif already, please. It's like a shovel digging a grave.

То что допустимо и уместно в Борисе, странно в романсах Рахманинова. Хворостовский иниересно спел, если брать низкие голоса. Будут транслировать концерт к юбилею Шаляпина из Казани, послушайте - исполнит бас, с лёгким грузинским акцентом. Может получиться неплохо 😉

Нестеренко же высоким басом обладал,не профундо,вполне себе исполнил
