As a former Grand marshal shadow priest, it makes me happy to see someone giving a proper tutorial on how to play the class. The class gets even better when you start getting crazy stats like 5500 hp and 500 spell dmg. Once your gear is really good, you barely need to use shadow form and can actually off heal a lot while still silencing, putting up stacks and dispelling.

For battlegrounds or groups I love Hybrid Spec. Disc until 10% +mana and Shadow until silence/VE, then two points in holy is really fun. If you feel like you go oom too much in group PvP, try the hybrid spec. Chill video though as usual.

Hey Executus, I follow and analyse your videos since Vanilla my man. I love UI optimisation, keybinds and macros. I'm sure you're fed up with this question, but why would you place two slots for the same spell like Fear Ward, Vampiric Embrace or even Stone Form, if they have no rank (either fixed mana or % base mana, as per web Databases) ? Is it just a showtooltip macro to make functionally similar spells easier to spot and closer on the action bar? Thanks a lot Executus! Always learning from you
Soulshards. The warlock class is a handful to manage as an alt in classic. I need 4 shards just to beat a mage in a duel. I love warlock, and soon they will be the strongest pvp class.

I like priest more than lock because of its utility. Lock is great with pet dispel and its utility, but lacks in survive. In TBC, warlocks become very very strong.
Man, how do you have 3 pretty geared toons. All pretty good ranked?!? I just came back after 7 months break. Trying to quickly get my mage rank 10. Aiming for 200k honor a week. Haven't even thought of another toon.
Thanks! The rank gear from PvP is really good for SP, so I would shoot for rank 6 and get boots/gloves. Otherwise, dungeons are your best bet! Or ZG/AQ20
Glad to finally see the priest video! This week I just got my r11 on my priest, pushed 500k last week for standing 44. The grind took it out of me so taking a break for probably a couple weeks. I had the same idea for the zandalari hero badge, want to see if it's on a separate CD as the Aegis of preservation from BWL. Popping both I believe would make a priest pretty unkillable to melee. Quick question: Why don't you use the Shift+M small map so you don't have to keep opening the big map for spacial awareness? Great vid!
Hey executus, i am a massive fan and rly enjoy your vibe and style. At this point in time I feel like you’re prob the only content creator who i would be comfortable trusting the advice of with an issue im having. I love alts in wow, but classic is not too forgiving with that so I need solid advice to help me settle between orc or other races for certain classes. (This is all for pvp) I really like orc, and i want to Maximize my pvp capabilities with stun resist but staring at an orc for all my classes will get boring i feel. My main issue is orc or troll shammy but dont wanna regret no stun resist, orc or undead rogue (im told rogues dont need wotf as much as stun res?), and orc or tauren warrior (they both look cool but i Love how big tauren shields and swords are) Maybe you can shed some light with your experience on truly how many stuns vs fears etc we matchup against in pvp and if the stun resist rly is worth rolling all those classes as orc? Thank you so much if you can help me. 🙌 Also, for warr, is the stun resist talent not worth the 5 points as opposed to rage reduction talents etc.
It comes down to your personal preference. I would narrow it down to what kind of roll do you want to play. Do you want to be a stealth cc class. a class with a big 2h, or a hybrid? Race choice comes down to personal preference too. For rogue, UD is better than orc IMO, but both are very strong. For shaman, orc is my obvious choice. Taruen are really good shamans too. For warrior, orc is my pref.

In P6 I'm having a lot harder time with my shadow priest. Getting 1 shotted by warriors and rogues like a pushover. UD rogues all get me in the back line now too.
all that spellhit is wasted tho for pvp when it caps at 3%... makes no sense to take beyond 3/5 shadow focus over imp vampiric embrace (which is significant as it increases that healing by half). even PVE its super easy to get spellhit capped at 10% with 3/5 shadow focus (if you're actually raiding as shadow anyway)
You need to take 2 points out of Shadow focus, thats a waste that can be utilized well into mana burn or something. 3 points in SF will cap your hit for pvp.
thats why i quit my sp main. in long team fights you dry out mana basically before everyone. thats kinda buzzkiller for me. other than that awesome fun class in that short window till you gone oom.
Not for me , as alliance ive got a respectful winrate as a pug in AB , you get premades sometimes but most of them are bad . I find it more pug friendly
around 95 % are total nobs even though all the data is out as the say .. :) i guess devolution or bad game designs in gaming industry totaly degraded average skill in players...even thought they have the data to help them unlike many years ago when player had no data but performed much much much better....interesting...Devolution ?

Thanks! I put multiple spells on my bars as a visual reference. I can quickly see what's on CD. Also it makes my ui look nice

I think that's the main reason but maybe to prevent certain effects like eating, drinking, bandaging? Not sure.
