The reason the fielders did that is because you were up by a lot and they had to stay where they were for a hit. They focused on the batter instead of the baserunner because that run didn’t matter

Here is a tip: if your on a super hard difficulty against one of the best pitchers in the game that you cant hit, just take until 2 strikes to decrease energy and knock him out of the game early.

He's in the bottom 4th percentile for RF range. The bad fielding rating is justified. What's not justified is only having 80 speed

What has helped me in real life was because of my hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo. He was the rangers hitting coach from 1995 to 2009, he always taught to always think no no no no till the pitch comes out of the hand, if it doesn't look good you can lay off easier. But if its perfect say yes & swing away 😇 I use this method in the show as well lol 😂

I used to be just like you with swinging at every pitch, but what I did was use the PCI anchor where the ball would be released (i.e, top left of the strike zone for an overhand righty pitcher) and removed the PCI inner (which you've already done.) Just follow the ball with the PCI.

the reason mlb stadiums are fixed is cause now the exit velos are consistently over 100 where as yes laughing mountain is still a glitch and u hit nukes there but u can actually use mlb ballparks more often this year
Fuzzy!!! Try tracking the ball with your pci as you watch it out of the hand
one of the best ways to hit is to look at the ball out of the pitchers hand in UNISON with keeping your hand/eye combo on your pci
also, keep your pci near the center before the pitch. but lean more towards low or high depending on which one you are worse at reacting to

I still want to learn how to put my pci in the right spot and time effectively. I get very early’s, too late’s, good timing, i’m all over the place.

you can adjust the accuracy of balls and strikes.
When it comes to MLB my kryptonite is low offspeed and high fastball. I always swing at those.

It’s a good strat but once he realizes what your doing and starts throwing meatballs then that’s when you start swinging earlier

I'm the same as you. I swing at just about everything. I'm also a beginner so I rarely win. I need more practice at just about everything.

You know I'm sure you'd score more runs in general going back to your typical playstyle, but you probably have a higher success rate/quality per swing taken with this approach than normally.
I imagine you had way less swings taken in this game than normal and you still put up 7 runs with a lot of quality swings for outs.
I always do better when I'm patient about waiting for my pitch but I invetiably start to get bored and that's when my performance goes doodoo
