I used to work in a small steel fabrication shop, much like yours, in Racine, WI.😁 Some of our production was replacement parts for Case and sometimes John Deere and Harley Davidson. The part that I loved about my job, as a laser operator, was to see the parts move from cutting, forming, welding and paint. To think that I had something to do with the production of a part that will be used here in the united states and sometimes around the world. The company took a huge hit about two years ago and about half the shop got laid off. Most of us had 20 years (some 30 years plus) with the company. I appreciate the 23 years that I had with the company but no one wants to hire a 59 year old man. I hope that one day that the company will return to full production. I have followed the Corn Star Family for a while and they are interesting. Thanks for making a video featuring them. 👍👍👍👍👍😮😮😮😄😄😄😄😁
@Oliver 880 Thanks for the reply. I have been laid off since May of 2019. I applied for lots of jobs and once they ask me what year I graduated (1979) they hang up the phone. I moved up north to help my Mom (88). She does not want me but she does need me. I was planning on moving up here at age 67 not 59. Thanks again.
WOW! power of youtube. Pretty sure they don't even have a kinze planter/grain cart & get red carpet treatment. I do & when I stopped there a couple years ago to see if I could get a dust cover because my local dealer closed they sent me away.
