Glad you’re back man I started watching your videos 4 months when I started restoring my 95 rm250S. Used a lot of your advice and tricks getting mine back looking like it would’ve in 95. Uploaded the pipe fixing just in time because I’ve been trying to figure out how to get the 2 dents outta mine without messing the pipe look/functionality up. Keep grinding man we’re here supporting

Hi, I have seen this done with oil inside and a hand hydraulic pump. Having something which is more substantial than compressed air gives you something more solid to enable hammering from the outside. A friend of mine did this in the 70,s.. obviously there was no nice kits and no TH-cam come to think of it. Great videos. Thank you

To clean out the oil in an exhaust pipe, you only need to use the torch(map gas). Just heat the pipe until you start seeing smoke coming out of the ends. It doesn’t need to be red hot, the smoke will show you if you’re hot enough. Thank you for the video and I’m glad to hear you fought and won your battle with cancer!

Great to hear positive news and video from You. the risk (Energy) of the pressurized pipe depends on the volume of compressed air. I fill the pipe with water so there is only a smaller air volume at the top where the dent is worked on. Think its bit more effort but lot safer.

Hi Great to see you back..... One thing I learned from a local motorcycle welder is is to use a hammer to tap ( lightly) helps, to avoid dent he used a piece of 2/4 to tap it while heating it. Tap right around the dented area.

It's a sketchy process for sure. I wore my helmet and goggles when I did this, plus a long sleeve flannel (cuz that's gonna help). Works pretty good though. Results may vary. Great seeing you back!
