I honestly thought he would tell Nami to understand him, considering in the 1st season she betrayed them and Luffy drowned but thankfully Sanji saved him and without even knowing why she did it he didn't question it much like Zoro did. Just my opinion btw.
Friendly reminder that Nami and Zoro was the longest in the crew, even before Nami oficially join. So in Zoro absent she took his role to dicipline the member, like respect your captain no matter what. Like Zoro said we don't play pirate here you can just walked away and crawl back easily no matter the reason. He warned luffy in Zou and water seven. Even thought both Usopp and Sanji have understandable reason, still luffy is their captain
Usopp and Sanji's case are quite different. Usopp genuinely lost respect for Luffy during Water 7, while Sanji never lost respect for Luffy, he faked it in order to drive Luffy away for 3 reasons: 1) His father was going to get killed. 2) His hands were cuffed with bombs. "Hands are pride of a cook." (They were duds but Sanji didn't know it at that time.) 3) Luffy and Nami would be tortured and killed by Vinsmokes and BMP if they tried to escape together. Sanji's plan was to sacrifice himself as a slave to Vinsmokes/BMP to save the lives of the crew and his father. He might not have taken the best action, but he did think this was the best choice to save the skin of everyone else. Zoro was never angry with the duel, he was angry with loss of respect against the captain. Sanji never lost it. Plus, he apologized for his behavior during reuniting with Luffy. (Him crying for wanting to return back to the crew was his way of genuinely apologizing from the captain and the rest of the crew.). Zoro or Nami do not have the second command in the ship, the decision is Luffy's alone.
I love how Nami basically reminded everyone that even though they were jolly pirates and a family , commitment and respect to the captain is still a must.
Interesting that Nami was introduced first than everyone in One Piece, She even was in One Piece's prototype Romance Down, she's very important, i don't like to see her in dangerous! Perfect character!
Sad thing is by the end of the scene when he is as perverted self I don't even get the feeling that his emotions are actually in it I get the feeling that inside his face is still that same depressed husk

Nami was more about the fighting incident than anything else. She was the first one who wanted to come rescue Sanji. She really cares for him, she actually gets jealous
Coming from someone who came out of a toxic relationship with her own mother, I can understand where they're both coming from. When you've been emotionally, mentally and sometimes physically manipulated and beaten by your own parents it's hard to believe you can survive without them, and those that do get out of it, like Chiffon, are treated as traitors. It's never easy, no matter which "side" you're on.
Until Sanji's reaction at the end, it was mostly an interaction between two crew members. There was no real altercations between them so it's mostly about Nami being hella loyal to her capitain and Sanji knowing he would be lucky to be accepted by his nakamas again after the disrespect he (pretended to) show I don't know if what happened will be told to the rest of the crew but if it is, that's going to be a hard time for Sanji

Ever since thriller bark when Sanji saved nami from absalom and Nami doesn't even know anything about that, since that I think this Sanji x Nami had more chance to end up together. After all Sanji womanizing way, in the end.... He ended up shouting Nami swannn and more worried about her than any other woman. One proof, Nami has a different way to see and understanding Sanji chivalry. She said it at Enies Lobby, he maybe a pervert but one thing for sure, Nami know how exactly Sanji respect woman. They are truly fit together. We truly don't know about Nami feelings for sanji apart, of course she see him as a friend and maybe a family but I did know that Sanji care more about Nami than other woman.

Oda created this arc for Sanji to make him one of the kindest people in the world, he has sacrificed himself 6 times for people he loves and Luffy knows how Sanji is, he did so much for the crew to the point that he beat Luffy up badly and still failed to convince Luffy otherwise Luffy still proceeded to say to Sanji “ without you, I can’t be king of the pirates, Nami is mad here because Sanji gave her death stare and scared her that’s it you don’t have to worry about what fans say about Sanji in this arc they don’t matter as much as what Sanji’s friends say about him

They barely knew each other in Arong Park. By the time of Whole Cake they’re close crewmates, the whole beatdown of Luffy and glaring at her is something she’s never seen from him. He scared and worried her, that’s hard to forgive.

Ever since thriller bark when Sanji saved nami from absalom and Nami doesn't even know anything about that, since that I think this Sanji x Nami had more chance to end up together. After all Sanji womanizing way, in the end.... He ended up shouting Nami swannn and more worried about her than any other woman.
One proof, Nami has a different way to see and understanding Sanji chivalry. She said it at Enies Lobby, he maybe a pervert but one thing for sure, Nami know how exactly Sanji respect woman. They are truly fit together.

It's close especially considering Sanji's the cook you could just make the case that Sanji did the most because we know how Luffy is with food. Oda created this arc for Sanji to make him one of the kindest people in the world, he has sacrificed himself 6 times for people he loves and Luffy knows how Sanji is, he did so much for the crew to the point that he beat Luffy up badly and still failed to convince Luffy otherwise Luffy still proceeded to say to Sanji “ without you, I can’t be king of the pirates, Nami is mad here because Sanji gave her death stare and scared her that’s it you don’t have to worry about what fans say about Sanji in this arc they don’t matter as much as what Sanji’s friends say about him
@@anesiaberlin5831 No, Nami did not think that because of the death stare. In fact, at first she knew that he was doing this on purpose but then she thought he took it to far. Nami did not even want Sanji back on the crew after what he did to Luffy, the only reason Sanji was even accepted as a crewmate again by Nami is due to Luffy. That's pretty much it.

Don't compare her backstory to Sanji's. Nami was so close to reaching 100M and she did it all by herself for 8 years. Don’t know why Nami is still mad at Sanji since she knew the context on why he had to don that and she literally did the same thing on the Arlong ark. All I’m just saying he should have been forgiven more easily by her.
They barely knew each other in Arong Park. By the time of Whole Cake they’re close crewmates, the whole beatdown of Luffy and glaring at her is something she’s never seen from him. He scared and worried her, that’s hard to forgive.
She didn't beat up Luffy atleast or harm anyone. She didn't hurt Usopp or let Zoro drown. She lied. That's it and stole but she didn't causer harm to strawhats

Hell, even Zoro does not like her at that time and doesn't want to go after her but Luffy insists. She didn't expect either that they would come. Plus, she didn't beat Luffy or any crew member just to prove a point. She faked Usopp's death but that's it. She even saved Zoro (bc dude decided to test her. )
