I notice that people hated on Elena for being selfish or being a Crybaby. Elena cares about her friends and family so of course she's been sad. She lost of a lot of people that she cared about. Elena's not all that bad. She's actually a good and a caring person 🥰🥰🥰🥰
all the Elena defenders in the comments😭 my favorite thing about this show is it’s realistic with its characters. what i mean is they’re SUPPOSED to have these flaws, their flaws are SUPPOSED to be obvious and their flaws are pointed out in the show. Elena IS a cry baby and she IS selfish. it’s a character flaw and makes her feel more realistic and relatable. her being super emotional and sensitive is her thing that she had to learn to cope with. her being kind of selfish i think is her reaction to and coping with how she spent so many years being selfless and not caring about herself and also because she lost so many people and good things, that she started being selfish with people and any good things that came to her or maybe she was selfish because she felt she didn’t have love or attention since everyone she loved died. like it’s okay to say and admit she’s selfish and sensitive. she and many other characters admit that in the show, it’s supposed to be that way. also just for fun; Damon’s character flaw is that he’s impulsive, selfish and can’t deal with heartache properly (without lashing out). Stefans character flaw is that he lies a lot and tries to play the hero when she’s just as messed up as anyone else on the show. Caroline’s character flaw is that she’s a control freak and has a need to be perfect and good to the point she destroys herself over it she’s also very judgmental and can be insensitive. Bonnie’s character flaw is that she always puts herself last. she’s too selfless, to the point it hurts her and she died every other episode and never got to be happy or have the life she deserved. Matt’s character flaw is that he’s wishy washy. one second he hates vampires the next he’s asking them for vamp favors and acting like he’s all bestie bestie with them. Kathrines character flaw is that she has major trust issues and is always running from her problems instead of facing them. plus she’s selfish because of her trust issues. Tyler’s character flaw is his anger issues and double standards. he always had double standards when it came to Caroline. plus his priorities were always a little off.
In some moments I actually loved Elena specially that last season she was in, when she and Damon were finally happy! I really loved her then specially!
