Hey, Trena! Wonder what your thoughts would be on this....I've always followed what you suggested as far as having a primary platform (my blog) and dripping out promos/supporting content via social media. I recently started a YT channel, however, and have kind of found it a struggle to simultaneously promote these pieces of long-form content. Sometimes the content overlaps, but that's not always the case as YT is kind of a different animal than a website. Anyway, would be curious to hear your take on how you'd recommend approaching this!
This is such a great question. My honest opinion would be to chose which medium you like creating content for best. If you like writing more, do blogging. If you like video, do TH-cam. I personally start with TH-cam THEN turn my TH-cam video into a blog when/if I have time to. I like video. I like sharing my content through video. I like how in video my audience can get a sense of who I am and my "style" as opposed to writing. But you personally need to decide how you like creating content most.
Great informative video, thank you. I would love to see your REELS strategy. I would also love to see more of your Asana setup. I love Asana but don't want to spend too much time micro-scheduling and planning.
What part of reels are you most interested in? The captions, video, schedule, routine? I just want to make sure I focus my video on what people really want.
Did you use another camera in this video or do I just like this video more because I know you better after some of your videos? Anyhow, great tips again, thank you so much!
@@TrenaLittle The idea of the content hub and the binge-able series really clicked with me. I find your content so binge-able, so I was like “ohhhh that’s why. I want to do that”. Plus I’m a planning nerd so the workflow walkthrough felt like a magnet for me. I know you’ve mentioned this stuff before but it just finally all clicked.
Ah my binge worth strategy worked! lol Did you grab Profit Per View? Or are you interested in working with me in my coaching program to work along side you to set up your workflow and planning process?
For sure! I can add that to a video coming up. Can you clarify what specifically though because in this video I talked about our content ration when it comes to education vs promotional vs aspirational
@@TrenaLittle how much is too much promotion, When to promote your videos, the different ways to promote (not just saying watch the video), providing value and convincing people to click the link. All in all, using short form content to convert people to long form.
I find it difficult to get people to jump from one platform to another so when I am promoting something on TH-cam or Instagram its usually something native to that platform... comment, follow, subscribe, go to the link in my bio. and its NEVER too much promotion. You are a business, you are in the business of making money!
@@TrenaLittle yes I’m doing reels but trying to find a balance between promotion & engagement. Also, the hardest part is balancing the filming of short form and long form content.
I can absolutely relate. For reference, I put most of my time into long for content... it lives longer and converts better. For reels I'll just try to grab clips of me doing every day things and use that as my reels content!
Are Reels giving you that much leverage? I know life changes but not so long ago you were “'double down' on YT because of the longevity of the content” compared to alternatives like Reels? I figure something’s changed for you (as I know you base your decisions on metrics). Can you briefly explain why Reels (as opposed to YT Shorts for instance)? Thanks, Trena.
I like to do reels because its a creative outlet for me. I use TH-cam as a education piece and with reels I can play around with topics and style a little more

Reels strategy and more Asana! Adding those to my list of ideas. Thank you so much for sharing what you would like to hear me talk about!
Definitely your reels strategy!

REELS! SCREAMING REELS 😂
Are you currently doing reels? That's the hardest part when it comes to reels for you?
