Funny thing is, WE ARE NOT LAUGHING AT GAIL and MOST of the citizens of Otter Creek, mostly just the ones on the board who DONT CARE ABOUT THE TOWN. They care, in that THEY want the POWER they perceived they HAD in Otter Creek back. That WILL NOT happen, I can ALMOST guarantee that. Having committed corruption in the town, means you DO NOT get a seat on the board of the town! Stealing from residents is NOT how you run a town. I hope Gail knows she will figure this out AFTER the court hearing. After all is said & done, People will RESPECT the citizens of Otter Creek for standing up & saying NO to the corruption!! 😊

Mr Fuller might fool some of the residents but... he is not all knowledgeable! Roberts rules is NOT the only way to run council meetings. I actually researched this after the last meeting because of him! He is full of it! Belinda, thank goodness is speaking up and knows that! Mr Fuller needs to sit down and Jeremy please research this! I agree. I seems like he's trying to invalidate the meetings and imply that they aren't following procedures. There has been more structure, transparency, and interaction with the townspeople than ever before. Then Fuller's "emergency" caveat almost seems like an excuse for Russ to use and wipe away his wrongdoings. You can't just operate with impunity and say "well it was an emergency". I'll give Fuller the benefit of doubt, maybe he didn't have a chance to speak when Russ was mayor (no one did). Maybe he just wants to ensure things don't slip back and that's why he's being a stickler, but his position isn't clear and it seems to favor Russ. That's not a good look for anyone.

We all are! Corruption in government as anything but a laughing matter. However, that was a direct assault on the first amendment, so now, I'm seeing things a little differently. People who are afraid of cameras are either damned insecure about their physical appearance or afraid of getting busted! I assure you, there is no third option

Not only show up and become an active member of the community but some of them need to take more pride in where they live...!! Whenever someone has a yard that basically looks like a junk-yard (Don and Russ) then it can make that whole area look horrible...!! I realize there's a lot of elderly that can't do the work their selves but they could do the trading favors to someone who's willing and able to do the manual labor parts...!!
Like I said earlier, when the people get upset with the way things are they will get upset and angry and make their voices heard. Tonight was the night that starts the healing process for the town. I agree with Jeremy he is not the problem, if the town was not corrupt he would not have a reason for videoing. He had the smarts to hold the elected officials accountable, and the best way to do that is with open transparency. The best way to ensure transparency is to have the public see what is going on first hand.
I'm sure a lot of the town's people appreciate Jeremy for what he's done, some just can't publicly say so because of that small town loyalty mentality and Jeremy is still considered an outsider (probably always will be)...!! Imagine the people Russ the Suss has terrorized for year's by stopping them from obtaining zoning permits, having to deal with possibly contaminated water amd the list goes on and on...!! I actually saw some bright lights in this meeting. I think the good people of Otter Creek are finally speaking up and saying we want our good town back. I pray it gets that way for them and all who live there. It seems like it could be a great little community if they all come together for good.
I find it so ironic that Don will come to town hall to want information on what the state is getting, but won’t come to town hall to get meeting information packets. Has this man ever done ANYTHING constructive for the town in all the years he has been on the town council🤦🏼♂️

Finally someone spoke up about Mr. Fuller standing up to the current council when he never stood up to the past council who never did anything according to any Rules of Order; Parliamentary or otherwise! The council doesn’t only have to work within the law when it suits you and your family! It should work the same for everyone! Remember justice for all! Equality and all of the other rights our ancestors fought to have honored. You are educated to a fault! You are misusing your education! You should be setting an example and teaching unity and camaraderie instead of division and animosity! You should be ashamed of yourself!
The town will come out of this for the better once the Attorney General finalizes the investigations. The lady that was speaking is stressed but seems to care about the town. Nobody is laughing at her or the town. People have zero tolerance for corruption and being lied to especially from local government. This is why their are laws and a chain of command that has to be followed. Most towns/cities in the state of Florida film and broadcast the city council meetings. The Attorney Generals office will go through and audit the books and review the 6000 emails. The auditors will investigate the water accounts, look at the property taxes, zoning and titles. Then they will start doing deposition's. They will want to know what happened to the fire truck. The governor's office along with the Attorney Generals office most likely will apply pressure for the county official's and the Federal Trade Commission to do a massive audit of ALL violations of the Sun Shine Laws. This corruption and financial extortion seems to have been going on for years. The leaders from the past and thier greed has put this town on blast. They are the ones to blame. I think the town should consider a web-site. Its 2023.
People better get used to it. When you go to a town hall meeting, those meetings' proceedings are public information. If you don't want to accept responsibility for the circumstances in Otter Creek, for who you voted for, too bad. When you are in public, do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. You have a right to speak out about what you believe, the people you disagree with do too. Your little town is a mess and it has been exposed. There is no such thing as free money. It came from someone somewhere that earned it. Russell and Don are so used to the way it went when Russell was mayor, they just don't want to accept a better city hall. Don't know how buying a computer is an emergency. I think that word emergency is being misused. When you're in public, you can be filmed. It's a city hall. And you open it up for a meeting, it can be filmed. You should film it yourself and post for all those that aren't there to see in the first place. If you're on the council, the people can say anything they want about your behavior on the council. You're an elected official. You do not have a right to not be filmed. If you can be seen from a public road, or sidewalk, or right of way, you can be filmed. Russell and Don need to start acting like adults. If don't know how to open up attachments in your emails, ask for it. I live far from Florida and Otter Creek, but if you send me the email platform you're using, I will make a simple set of instructions for those that aren't used to technology and I won't charge you for it. It's nothing to be shamed of if you aren't used to using technology.

I saw hope for the first time in all this chaos. The people who care are starting to make their voices heard and the corrupt ones are becoming silent. Hold an emergency meeting, vote Don and Russell off the board, and put in 2 temporary people until elections are held. That is a real emergency! Vicky, you need to be in front of the camera, because you are what the town of Otter Creek needs as representation.

The corruption has been eroding the town for decades and now that a light has been put on it, the cameras are blamed and NOW people can’t go anyone without being scared? Why weren’t you scared when your town was being destroyed and no one spoke up? So you go to Walmart and someone films you? So what? I haven’t seen any public videos of anyone shopping at Walmart? The only thing I see is the repeated disruption of every single meeting by Russ and Don, yet your fear is shopping at Walmart and being seen? Focus on the REAL problem - get rid of Russ and Don.
The town has a festiring wound of corruption and Russ and Don are at the center of it. Well to treat a wound like that you have to cut out the corruption (voting them out) and move forward with healing all the while keeping the wound clean (oversight on all parties in the counsel by the watchful eyes of the residents).
There is zero expectation of privacy when one is in a public place. You don't want to be filmed in your jammies picking out wine? Then you can put on real clothes. This is sad that good people are being put in the limelight due to the corruption in their town. I was working for the County of Orange in Calif. when it went bankrupt and the media was ridiculous. I was asked question by camera crews and death and bomb threats were a constantly going on. Mind you I didn't work in the treasury department that mishandled the money. It effected everyone and their position due to massive layoff and shift changes. It amazes me that Don, Russell and Mary have no conscience of the chaos they have created in this small town. I am from the uk. When you get rid of the virus the town can breathe again and grow stronger with each other. I can't remember Russ not saying a word in the town meeting. It's like the cats got his tongue. If Don was the same as Russ it would been a great meeting. I know their's a lot of people who don't like the filming. But when Russ and Don are gone from the top table. There probably be one camera filming the meeting's just for record's.
The best possible way to communicate in a meeting is first to pursue positive activities. Then allow rebuttal if any. Then allow attendees to present any concerns. No cross-talking, no interruptions. Then the meeting will advance a lot more smoothly and progress will happen. Cross-talk only serves to create argumentative chaos which inhibits any productive results.

Like I said earlier, when the people get upset with the way things are they will get upset and angry and make their voices heard. Tonight was the night that starts the healing process for the town. I agree with Jeremy he is not the problem, if the town was not corrupt he would not have a reason for videoing. He had the smarts to hold the elected officials accountable, and the best way to do that is with open transparency. The best way to ensure transparency is to have the public see what is going on first hand.
I'm sure a lot of the town's people appreciate Jeremy for what he's done, some just can't publicly say so because of that small town loyalty mentality and Jeremy is still considered an outsider (probably always will be)...!! Imagine the people Russ the Suss has terrorized for year's by stopping them from obtaining zoning permits, having to deal with possibly contaminated water amd the list goes on and on...!! I guarantee you a lot of those town's people are glad someone is finally standing up to Russ the Suss....!!

I actually saw some bright lights in this meeting. I think the good people of Otter Creek are finally speaking up and saying we want our good town back. I pray it gets that way for them and all who live there. It seems like it could be a great little community if they all come together for good.

Finally someone spoke up about Mr. Fuller standing up to the current council when he never stood up to the past council who never did anything according to any Rules of Order; Parliamentary or otherwise! The council doesn’t only have to work within the law when it suits you and your family! It should work the same for everyone! Remember justice for all! The town will come out of this for the better once the Attorney General finalizes the investigations. The lady that was speaking is stressed but seems to care about the town. Nobody is laughing at her or the town. People have zero tolerance for corruption and being lied to especially from local government. This is why their are laws and a chain of command that has to be followed. Most towns/cities in the state of Florida film and broadcast the city council meetings. The Attorney Generals office will go through and audit the books and review the 6000 emails. The auditors will investigate the water accounts, look at the property taxes, zoning and titles. Then they will start doing deposition's. They will want to know what happened to the fire truck. The governor's office along with the Attorney Generals office most likely will apply pressure for the county official's and the Federal Trade Commission to do a massive audit of ALL violations of the Sun Shine Laws. This corruption and financial extortion seems to have been going on for years. The leaders from the past and thier greed has put this town on blast. They are the ones to blame. I think the town should consider a web-site. Its 2023.

If you don't want to accept responsibility for the circumstances in Otter Creek, for who you voted for, too bad. When you are in public, do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. You have a right to speak out about what you believe, the people you disagree with do too. Your little town is a mess and it has been exposed. There is no such thing as free money. It came from someone somewhere that earned it. Russell and Don are so used to the way it went when Russell was mayor, they just don't want to accept a better city hall. Don't know how buying a computer is an emergency. I think that word emergency is being misused. When you're in public, you can be filmed. It's a city hall. And you open it up for a meeting, it can be filmed. You should film it yourself and post for all those that aren't there to see in the first place. If you're on the council, the people can say anything they want about your behavior on the council. You're an elected official. You do not have a right to not be filmed. If you can be seen from a public road, or sidewalk, or right of way, you can be filmed. Russell and Don need to start acting like adults. If don't know how to open up attachments in your emails, ask for it. I live far from Florida and Otter Creek, but if you send me the email platform you're using, I will make a simple set of instructions for those that aren't used to technology and I won't charge you for it. It's nothing to be shamed of if you aren't used to using technology.

The town has a festiring wound of corruption and Russ and Don are at the center of it. Well to treat a wound like that you have to cut out the corruption (voting them out) and move forward with healing all the while keeping the wound clean (oversight on all parties in the counsel by the watchful eyes of the residents).

This is sad that good people are being put in the limelight due to the corruption in their town. I was working for the County of Orange in Calif. when it went bankrupt and the media was ridiculous. I was asked question by camera crews and death and bomb threats were a constantly going on. Mind you I didn't work in the treasury department that mishandled the money. It effected everyone and their position due to massive layoff and shift changes. It amazes me that Don, Russell and Mary have no conscience of the chaos they have created in this small town. I also find it refreshing that you and Goerge stand up to all this corruption and that gives me great hope that there are good people in this world that will not bend and retreat from the evil doing of others. I grew up in a small town. Many Families would gather somewhere and dishes were brought to pass for a big picnic. Kids played. Adults played Horse shoes. Women had fun playing cards or board games. I’m 59 and I still play cards and board games with neighbors.

I am from the uk. When you get rid of the virus the town can breathe again and grow stronger with each other. I can't remember Russ not saying a word in the town meeting. It's like the cats got his tongue. If Don was the same as Russ it would been a great meeting. I know their's a lot of people who don't like the filming. Everybody should film their government for accountability they make the outcome
The best possible way to communicate in a meeting is first to pursue positive activities. Then allow rebuttal if any. Then allow attendees to present any concerns. No cross-talking, no interruptions. Then the meeting will advance a lot more smoothly and progress will happen. Cross-talk only serves to create argumentative chaos which inhibits any productive results.
