They may as well be. What distinguishes human consciousness from AI includes vulnerability, sensitivity, empathy, and a moral component shaped by them. Science and technology are tools for power, and whatever empathic and moral elements individual scientists possess comes from outside their scientific training and experience. People who never acquired the full load of empathy and morality as kids, and who shape their minds around science and technology end up pursuing power without empathy or morality. And the AI they develop will manifest an exacerbated "empowerment" with an absence of moral restraint.

I think it is going to take years to get the ghost out of the machine. I am talking about hallucinations. In art, that is no big deal because it can be part of the art. But in models that require accuracy like self driving cars and flight controllers, the AI might make up an obstacle or invent a plane where there isn't one. Consequences there are terrifying. Computing up to now has been all about accuracy which has helped with scientific research and logistics and accounting on large levels but when you add intuition and give a model room to make stuff up then it is more human and less what we invented computers to help us with. The bid problem with AI is not that it takes over the world but that we come to depend on it too much and trust it too much. I hope they develop models for applications where accuracy out weighs being able to speak politely. I believe some mistakes are going to be made in AI and are already being made in the area of complex algorithms. AI is in for a rocky ride over the next 3 to 5 years. My take thus far is that it is being oversold.
Overall, I believe Google will continue to focus on Enterprise and Cloud. Today, almost 60-65% of all Gaming and Browsing is done on a mobile. Edge devices would be more of an Intel/AMD/Nvidia/ARM play. PCs will continue to diminish. Thoughts?
Scary Smart, by Mo Gawdat. Maybe read this book before you comment on AI. Due diligence is so necessary right now, if we are to be responsible with this technology.
@@jimpadilla6795 That's just speculation. I doubt companies would care in the slightest. If they use AI art, then why care if some individuals point it out? Advertisement is all about looking good visually and the method is irrelevant. And even if artists manage to create a shitstorm, it's only more attention for the company. The only use case I see for this situation is for law suits when styles are copied to similarly. But as of now the ruling on such cases is completely unclear.

As a US taxpayer, Im very interested in an AI resolution to a military flight danger. The V22 Osprey has again recently killed several soldiers. This is untenable. Can Generative AI take suggestions from the public and run cumputer experiments based on those suggested resolutions? This should have already been done if it is a capability.
I had a conversation with one of the designers of the Osprey, and he told me that many of the earlier accidents were training issues. There is a phenomenon that can occur with a hovering rotor aircraft, that sets up a kind of "donut" of air that is pulled down on the inside by the rotor and goes up on the outside. The "donut" of air sort of turns itself inside out constantly, in a way detached from the cohesion of the rest of the air around it. This does not provide lift relative to the atmosphere around this local event. Apparently, helicopter pilots learn to deal with this phenomenon, but it's more complicated with the Osprey.
@@clavo3352 -- Thank you. I was trying to think of that word "toroid." It sucks getting old. -- I'm curious. Are you proposing another prop located so as to break up the toroidal airflow, located to direct some airflow at an oblique angle to the toroid? What about re-directing some of the engine exhaust? I am completely a layman when it comes to the aerodynamics and flow characteristics involved. Is the solution to cause some turbulence at the edge of the toroid? Would this be as effective at the inside of the toroid as at the outside? Would a shunt-propeller aimed at one point on the toroid cause the whole toroid to fall apart?
