With all the hype and build up, IMSA has taken a step backwards. The only genuine class is GT Daytona, where you have 10 different manufacturers competing for a title. Being as all the bigger classes are manufacturers money battles (like DPI's and GTLM), please don't take me the wrong way, all racing requires the almighty dollar. There is a genuine interest from those manufacturers (from GTD cars) to build cars to compete in the world market of automobiles. Do it with the GT3 cars. Ford no longer competes in IMSA with $600,000 street? cars modified for racing, when Chevrolet is modifying street cars to race, same money involved.
