  • In this video, we walk you through the different filters that Graco offer and the importance of getting the right combination of filtration depending on the material you are spraying.
If you commonly get blockages in your tip and you have already tried increasing the pressure or changing to a larger tip size you might not be running the right filter combination - allowing unwanted contaminates to get through to your handpiece. Not only can this cause constant blockages but it can also have an effect on the spray finish the life of your pump/gun needle.

I’ve got Graco 190pc. Am I right that it doesn’t have a manifold filter?? Only the hand piece? Mine brand new started clogging in its very first use. I’m assuming that would be the wrong hand piece filter that came in it? Pretty sure it was 60

I was going to add for waterborne enamels that's it's usually a good combination to do a 60mesh manifold and 100 mesh gun

So acrylic enamels such as aquaenamel would you go 100 mesh in machine and gun? Thanks

Hey Kieran, thanks for your comment! I know that the Aquanamel is a difficult one to spray due to the compound of the paint itself. I would recommend running a 60 mesh manifold and a 100mesh gun filter on this one. This should help you get that extra filtration before it hits the tip - preventing blockages from occurring.
      Hope this helps!

    Hi there,
    I have Graco 390pc
and I have some problem with my tip.
When I use FFLP 517 ther is no problems.
FFLP 310 or 410 works only for 10 second and then block..
My gun filter is 60, do you think I have to change my filter with 100 for emulsion?
    Thanks

Hi there. I have the same problem with you know. Just wondering if you find the way to fix it and would like ro share it to me? Many thanks

@@quanha5142 yes, the problem is in the filter. You have to use 200 mesh filter in your spray gun.
Also is depends on the quality of the paint. Expensive paint allows you to use fine tip because the paint is very fine. The cheapest paint is difficult to spray because is not fine.
Other way is to Strain the paint with 200 mesh in the bucket and then you can spray with 514 tip and standard 60 mesh in the spray gun.
To spray with 310 use good quality primer and paint with 200 mesh in your spray gun
