You could chose what you would like off the menu, served w/ real dinnerware, linen tablecloths. Unfortunately an era gone by, will perhaps never see that class of service, perhaps not in this era. It may be a debatable question, perhaps the asian carriers, as middle east carriers, may still
      instill that level of excellence. Indeed the airlines at that time, appreciated the passengers
      there services, took care of there passengers. Do remember that the pic would do a meet/greet for all passengers whether they were arriving/departing flights.

      Ironically, that first flight was badly delayed. The first planes engine actually melted down and they hurrily painted another 747 with its name to replace it.

He would shoot to Broadway prominence the following year when he won a Tony for the leading role in 'The Rothschilds'. By 1975 he was a household name as the inimitable Barney Miller in the eponymous sit com which, nearly half a century later, is as piquant, witty, and socially fresh today at it was then. As for Pan Am - everything that can be said HAS been said. And as for the 747 - still will be the greatest airliner ever flown (if you examine all the 747 mishaps, next to none is due to design flaws - indeed TWA 800 is probably the closest one can come to citing a design flaw...but I could be wrong.)

    It's kind of sad that large aircraft like this are not feasible on many routes. The traveling public no longer wants to fly from one big city to another. We prefer smaller, less congested airports on the outskirts.

    • @Rainaman-
      @Rainaman- 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope. People want to fly to main hubs. Problem is airport capacity and the cost. Smaller outskirt airports have lower costs, thus many airlines chose those hubs.

      @paulmoore394 are you saying Pan Am joining KLM as part of Skyteam Alliance. Meaning KLM Flying Blue members can access Pan Am Lounges when traveling in the United States that does not apply to the owner of Pan Am European Network Delta Airlines because they shut out KLM Flying blue members Korean Air skypass members post collapse of Pan Am. That doesn't apply to the current owner of Pan Am Asian Network United Airlines because anyone who has Air Canada Lufthansa Swiss Austrian Airlines Asian partners NH BR OZ TG SQ Star Alliance Gold access to their Lounge
