  • First look at Disney Cruise Line's brand new Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in June 2024! An exclusive DCL destination on the Bahamas island of Euluethera. We bring you along for a tour of Disney's Lookout Cay on its first ship of guests to visit! We booked this special preview cruise when it first went on sale and have been excited and curious to see and share this brand new Disney Cruise Line destination in the Bahamas. We walk the half mile pier, take the tram, see lots of Disney characters in their new, specialty made outfits for the island, watch a Junkanoo celebration, check out the family beach and adults only Serenity Bay beach, check out all three dining locations - True True BBQ and True True Too. And of course, swim in the crystal clear, sparkling emerald waters!! We bring you for a tour of everything that is open and available and share our thoughts about the good, the bad and the flies... ! A preview of something new will always be interesting and overall, we really enjoyed it, but there are definitely some kinks to be worked out still. Let me know what you thought and if you're looking forward to visiting Lookout Cay and taking your next Disney Cruise!

The fly infestation killed me just watching 😭 to not mess with the environment there are so many organic ways to get rid of them. I’m sure they will figure it out but so sorry yall experience that! They have to run trams at least on the way back to the ship I could not imagine having tired kids and making them walk all the way back. Thank you for always being positive and patient I think that’s a huge part of having a great time at any Disney park, cruise or any Disney experience lol 🩵😊

Thanks for the honest review. The flies are not going to go away because they won’t be allowed to use chemicals as it’s a shared island. I also am happy to see the accurate timing of time from boat to beach. At an estimated 45-60 minutes (walk, tram, walk to beach) you are spending what could be 2 HOURS commuting on this beach. That’s just not worth it.

    • @SuperEnthused
      @SuperEnthused  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +22

I’d say it’s about half hour to get to the beach/main area and half hour back, so probably a good hour total of travel time to get to the main section. And for sure, I’ll always give honest, fair and accurate reviews and info. Of course everyone can have different opinions, but mine will always be my honest opinions. 🩵 I wonder if there’s some sort of natural bug repellant system they can implement. There has to be a way 😂

Forget the flies, just wait until dusk when the nose rums come out. Everyone will be leaving with bright red welts that itch like a b…h, this is not Florida, it is was a pristine natural island until the plastic Disney fiends arrived.

I have mobility issues I don't think I could do that walk and I can't believe they Disney thinks that families, older people and people with mobility issues could make that trek. It's just poor planning and probably cheaped out.

DEAR DISNEY EXECUTIVE WATCHING THIS: As a bit of an executive myself I appreciate the hard work and unique perspective, you’rclearly doing a post mortem after the failure of the Star Wars hotel. All the fake influencer/podcast marketing let you down. In the future look at videos LIKE THIS ONE. Two vloggers with a moderate sized but established fan base giving a real review of something they have affection for. They have a love and understanding but not blinders. Their critiques are given to build trust and drive improvement.

The trams aren’t wheelchair accessible (or at least I’ve never seen any that are). Just wondering because my husband is in a wheelchair & that would be a far way to push if there was no transportation over there. Disney is usually pretty good about offering accessible transportation but I just wanted to see if you noticed if anything was available?

It's awesome for y'all to be able to experience this. The water is beautiful 😃 , the boardwalks are wow, and the characters of course are what make Disney. However, i think there is a bit to much walking involed in my opinion, but i have disabilities so i always think about stuff in that thinking. I loved the entertainment on the island, definitely more of a party island 🎉 However, eating out there would be a no for me, i would eat a snak before i left the ship and eat when got back on ship. I know eating food on a island is a great experience, but the ship has lots of food choices and you eat alot on the ship, so i would just eat on the ship, in my opinion. It leaves you more time to enjoy the island, and in this island, festivity shows. Especially, on this island, that was to many flies, plus the food wasn't grade A food 🫣 I live in Tennessee and we deal with flies all the time when eat outdoors, but not that bad 😮 They really need to get plant that repell flies around to food areas, plus better food options. After saying the only bad parts i saw now. I do have to say the WATER LOOKS SPECTACULAR 😃 Y'all, made the best of things like you always do and braved the food. It looks like it was still a interesting experience for all wo was there. Thanks for sharing. Be Safe Take Care 😊❤

That long dock is going to be a huge issue when there is bad weather. Wouldn't want to be out there with lightning! Let me tell you that beach.. when you were walking through the crystal water, it is very apparent Disney knows the less human modification the happier Mother Nature is. What I think a problem is that will not go away is it taking 45 minutes from when you leave the ship to be on the beach at a private island. That beach looks amazing! I also love the look of all the buildings and the great character interactions and activities available. Clearly the food is a major pass until that fly issue gets resolved. Otherwise I’d say this is lovely

I agree...they need to take care of the fly problem. I'm certain they will. Gorgeous beach and water though!

You know the flies have been there since they took over the area they never planned to do anything and they can't do anything. They should have built indoor food places. It was built on the cheap.

Hey Jackie and Sam, I've been on two Disney cruses (lasts was the Fantasy in 2016), and with your video ans others I've seen, I agree that Castaway is better. Not a long walk to get to the trams. Its more lush and tropical, their Serenity Bay is larger, and better food with no flys. This one looks all concrete and sand (but maybe 5 years will look better with rhe plants) , but everything is still a long distance between places. The fly issue is a health concern and should of been taken care of before opening day. Looking forward to the rest of the videos! -Sam #2

It's beautiful, the water is Amazing. You know Disney will handle all the issues. It's still brand new, I say give a year and it will be a totally different experience. For now, we will just have to bring an electric fly swatter or one of those salt shooters😂😂..Maybe some jogging shoes for the dock, too 😂

How beautiful! I expected to see a mermaid on the rock as you were walking on that pier and the water was awesome! That beach is amazing! Wow, looks inviting and you guys got it almost all to yourselves.A cultural center, that’s pretty awesome. That’s nice to learn about the area. Too bad about the food- hopefully they will get it together better as they go along. That water is amazing . Ohh a rum dole whip- yummm 😋. Jackie- thank you as always for bringing us along. Loved it!

My wife and I were on the Magic for our honeymoon in Sept of 98. The ship was delayed for months from the builder, and we were starting to get worried our cruise would be cancelled. I think the ship was only a few weeks or a month old when we sailed. Hard to imagine that at that time the Magic was the 4th largest cruise ship in the world. Todays ships makes her look like a row boat. Would love to sail on her again. Castaway was very much the same with the landscaping in the beginning.

Thanks for bringing us along! Agreed, it looks a little sparse right now, but I would guess in that tropical environment with some good rain, those plants will leap up in a few years. Up here in the Midwest, when you plant perennials/trees, the saying is “first they sleep, then they creep, then they leap” over the course of three growing seasons. And that’s with freezing temps and snow! Really love your channel and your chemistry together. Thanks again!

We've hit a few of these private islands. THis reminds me of MSC's private island as they are both in their infancy. Early on they can look a bit bare and desolate. It will look better eventually. That being said it will be hard to do this better than Royal Caribbean. Their private island has a very nice pool in the middle and fairly large water park. But they've been doing this for awhile. I kind of hate them pulling the $$ out of the local economies as those areas depend on that. But I get it..people feel safe on these islands. As always just to see/hear you perks my day up.

They need those fly bags that I seen on tik tok, you can catch hundreds at once. The water was very beautiful and drinks sound good. Bring foil to cover your food while you take a bite lol
