0:20 ... Big Balls in Cowtown was a big hit for Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys and contrary to the (modern imposed) double entendre the lyrics have none, "Balls" in Texas are parties... just an FYI 😉 (still, it is pretty funny)
Anyone else look up these songs to see if they sound good, bad or funny? I started with Johnny Tan and the comments said Johnny is still alive and is now called Serena. I bet there are a lot of surprises here, thanks for posting, looking up these bands will entertain me awhile, lol.
I can't for the life of me ever think Ken Dodd sung Billie Holiday's "Strange Fruit"-has to just be an album title maybe hinting at his comedy background.
0:48 - We had this Parakeet Training Record. It was a 45 rpm disc, thus the low price of 98c. Each side of the record had one phrase, repeated endlessly by a female voice: "Good morning; wanna eat!" and "Hiya, beautiful! (whistle)". After buying it, my brother and I wondered what on earth we had been thinking, since neither of us would've wanted our parakeets to say either of these annoying phrases.
My grandkids had a parakeet that knew how to open the bird cage. It was also so smart it would go back in the cage so we never knew until I saw one time. Until that day when the bird bit through my patio screen and was gone forever, lol.
Klaus Nomi sang "The cold song" from the opera "King Arthur" by Henry Purcell. The last time he performed this song, he was already deathly ill with AIDS. Klaus Nomi's version is the best version of that song I have heard.
I remember The Great Kat. She appeared on an episode of Morton Downey Jr.'s talk show in the '80s. She was supposed to be the fastest metal guitarist. She was fast but that was about it. Hans Edler looks like the world's doughiest pro wrestler. The dude copping a feel on the statue oughta be arrested. Foreign albums are comedy gold when it comes to bad cover art. Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker (13:35)! Cody Matherson (13:40) actually did a follow-up to that album. The title was Can I Borrow Another Feelin'?, so I guess Ol' Cody lacked a little imagination. The woman on the cover of Cocktails and Conversation (14:00) looks like she's heavily medicated at the very least, like she's been roofied.
I had to stop half way through. The term "SERIAL KILLER!" kept popping into my head. "He looks like one" and the next one would be too sad to keep looking at. Honest. But, really, good work. I'm freaked out.
Clearly, some of these people are not at all self-aware. Who green-lights these covers for them? Didn't anybody think to stand up and say "This is a terrible album cover!"?
funny that a lot of these are swedish albums, from a genre called dansband( dance band music) horrible stuff^^ also at 5:32. thats a chikdrens show from the 80s here in sweden, its very fun and they made fun music to :)
Max Webster! Love that band! Incidentally, you could put Kim Mitchell in an Armani suit and he'd still look freakish. Helluva guitarist though. Can I get an AOMU?
After a lifetime of searching and listening for the music of the spheres, at last I have found "The Song of the Prune". Vielen danke, mein universe.
You know... when you think you've already seen ALL the bad LP covers... There is always, always room for surprise.

Naming all these off was just surreal. Thanks for the wierdest time I've had in a while.
10:55>.Cover is a take off on Herb Albert's Tijuana Brass album cover from the 60s. Whipped Cream and Other Delights.

"Don't Miss The Great Snatch" really sent me into hysterics!! LOL!!!
4:35 Despite kitty's expression, there's some fine music in there - Maysa Matarazzo was one of Brazil's finest samba singers.

@@torhildsagenghansen6074 KLAUS NOMI IS AN ICON
Bare Naked Banjos....my eyes can never unsee that😖
4:10 Surprised to see the Rolf Harris cover. He was convicted with indecent assault to four girls.
Dexys Midnight Run Kevin Roland! Dude????
Thanks Bob gave me a well needed laugh tonight x
Most are hilarious but some there's nothing wrong with..thanks for sharing! Loving those 70s haircuts LOL and the gawdy clothes too😆🤣
I agree. A lot are passable and a lot more are "What were they thinking!?"
Udo Lindenburg's She Is Forty- the translation Si es versig? is one of my favorite songs but that album cover makes me reconsider!!
That Kevin Rola guy, sings that song,"Come on Eileen!"
The 🐱 with the lady looks freaked out.
What in heavens name am I watching? See this is what happens when you get bored and hit the New to You button 😂💀
Oh god... that Rolf Harris one.
Kevin Rowland is the" C'mon Eileen" Singer!!😮
Wait, I have that one at 9:10 Music For Tired Golfers! It's kind of like elevator music, not at all unpleasant. I got it at a thrift store. 😂

Sometime in the 1970s, I actually met and played with Roy Thackerson, 4:14, the fingerless fiddler.
I had to stop half way through. The term "SERIAL KILLER!" kept popping into my head. "He looks like one" and the next one would be too sad to keep looking at. Honest. But, really, good work. I'm freaked out.
Wonderful! Best collection of weirdos ever. So many gems, don't know if I can pick the most shocking... But 8:41 is a good contender!
"Honey! where's my turntable?" What? Oh, that's right. Darn.
These would be one hell of a listening experience wouldn’t they?? No thank you.
Clearly, some of these people are not at all self-aware. Who green-lights these covers for them? Didn't anybody think to stand up and say "This is a terrible album cover!"?
4:37 that cat has seen and heard some shit.
Probably Maysa Matarazzo told the cat of her troubled life 😂😢
Where do you find these albums?
Got any videos like this for 45's?(picture sleeve)
I had the be a dee jay. It was on Cameo, you interviewed Dee Dee Clark about her (made up) romance with Chubby Checker, both Cameo artists.
Some golden opportunities here for bands needing cheap cover art (and aren't scared of getting sued lol)
1:40 Wow! Gee Gee Shinn and his band had 2 drummers.
Cerrone’s album was very big- and he did some rather daft videos too. They were apparently filmed by the Monty Python team.
Both Cerrone and Klaus Nomi are legends.
I keep hoping I'll find one or more of these in my collection.
Some of these covers might give me nightmares. Yikes!
Like a line up of serial killers dispersed with a sad chaser?
12:16 ...yes, it can make you feel highly strung so stop fiddling around and release the tension with some good plucking!
7:20 Finns: TO THE MARKETPLACE! 🇫🇮
Im gonna have to disagree about Supernature... that image sums the song up perfectly
2:25 - From the looks of him, it's going to be Bill Glunt himself who meets an untimely death, not Mr. Johnson.

"How to belly dance for your husband and his friends"
What the actual f...
These are too overwhelmingly awful to absorb in one go. Had to watch a few at a time.
7:04 Love Sherwins funky pink boots
Max Webster! Love that band!
Incidentally, you could put Kim Mitchell in an Armani suit and he'd still look freakish. Helluva guitarist though.
Can I get an AOMU?
Squirt Does its Thing...........oh lord.
Dick and Lollipop. Because "Dick and Sucker" was deemed too risqué.
The great kat I remember her.
I don't think that quartet means what you think it means....
OMG...I totally had that Astromice 45 as a kid. A really ghetto ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS clone...one of the worst ever.
Bud the Spud by Stompin Tom Conners! That’s a great song from a unique Canadian singer.
When I think about great disco artists, Ethel Merman is at the top of the list! /s
Philomena Begley is a big country name where I'm from.
1:00 I'll wait for the ska version.
I, and a lot of Canadians, can reccomend that Max Webster album. Some excellent bangers on that one.
‘Can I borrow a Feeling?’..... ya, I just got out... didn’t know she was 13...
Wasn’t that the name of a song that Millhouse’s father wrote?😂😂
1:09 glenn robbins, time traveller
Philomena Begly was massive in the Irish country music scene in the 70's and 80's. The album cover wasnt great but there are far worse!
1:05 WTH?!?
Kevin Rowland ,___ what were you thinking? 🥺
@The Kraemer I hope he never came on her
That's probably the best one. That and 'the touch of father' - music for paedophiles.
a lot of repeats from vol 1.
4:43 WTF😱
I Pooh were big in italy
Slow it down and add some awesome music!
WOW 😳 I was just thinking about nothing but now 😂
Boy he was a Strange❤ Fruit,type guy.
11:12...Ku Klux Klan debuts Xmas robes!
Sister King Kong did it for me.😱
“Young Boy’s Organ Music.” Interpret that however you wish.
😆
Did I see Pee Wee Herman? Paul Ruebens?
Slam Dunk N Hoes?….Gotta give that a listen!
Or "Talent Has Many Faces.".
I'm scarred for life.😵
none are as cringing as The Beatles "butcher baby" album cover though
Bob you're a genius.
The Friends....ya, sure....they're banging...
4:31 Yikes! 😳
I visit thrift stores and buy the same.
I actually like Kat´s cover
Sounds for sick people played with care by Will B, Better? omgggggggg
World class crap. Thank you.
Looking at bad album covers in complete silence isn't my idea of entertainment.
Yikes!
