So smart that you saved old pumpkin stems. If you don't have any, sometimes in the woods you can find twisted vines that might serve that purpose

My daughter lives on the back of a pumpkin farm! I also have friends who save me their stems. Check in the boxes of pumpkins at the box stores and road side stands! I probably have a hundred or so.

Excellent pumpkin. You can buy plastic pellets or use polyester fiber to fill with too. I go to thrift stores a buy large blouse for crafting. You can cut up the blouse and make several pumpkins 🎃.

I've seen other people make these, but yours by far was the easiest to follow and they all came out looking like the ones I purchased in the stores. Really nice job on them Christopher and seeing how easy you made it look to do, I know want to make my own. 🎃🎃🎃 Thank you for teaching and sharing this with us. Have a great week!

Thank you bro.....love you too. I am in the Eastern Caribbean , we do not do fall as in the USA. This year I decided to do Fall, unfortunately the pumpkins were a big challenge. not anymore. Today I began making these. So thank you, simple, so easy and beautiful. WELL DONE BRO!

So cute and elegant! Your directions were very easy to follow, thank you for that! For those who are just this year, going to start saving pumpkin top's, myself included. Many of your favorite supermarkets will let you take them off of the pumpkins. Some charge a very little fee. Mine charged 10 cents a pound. It comes out to be pennies, litteraly, I paid 3 cents for 8 top's. If you ask to take them from the pie pumpkins or the already broken or starting to grow old decorating pumpkins you will havevthe best luck.
    Happy Fall everyone

Thank you for doing this video. If you use a small scrap of your fabric in the hole, tucked under the edges as a patch, then sew the top closed, the rice won't be trying to escape while you are sewing.

Very elegant, and even magical looking for the season. I love the moss, rust, mustard, and wine-colored velvets, real colors and a real stem. I wondered what you had used to give it that wonderful 'bean bag' look and weight, and rice is a great idea. Thank you!

Thanks for posting this diy - I made these two years ago, but don’t do videos. I made custom stems from air dry clay and painted them after they were dry to complement the color of the pumpkin, but wish I had access to natural stems to cut the making time way down. I hand sewed the running stitch, too, but if I had a sewing machine I’d be machine sewing, for sure as that takes the longest time. I did the reinforcement around the gathers, too, as I’d hate it to come undone after all the work. I used fiberfill to stuff mine. Your work is beautiful! TFS
