I think you should add scars on his body parts that indicate how he died. For example if he gets his head shot off, add a gunshot scar to his head next modpack, or if his torso gets blown to bits, add maybe a burn scar or something similar to indicate a explosion

i feel like laz's personal story should be one where he can barely remember his past lives eventually, unable to remember when or where he's been. A wandering soul bound to no vessel. To that end, his scars and wounds should carry over only to the next life, since carrying over too much from many deaths ago would confirm his history
the added benefit is that you don't need to break down his history every episode, only what he currently remembers.

I like to imagine this is some crazy archotech fuckery, Laz probably touched something he wasn't supposed to (or maybe even crueler, he was chosen for zero specific reason) and was damned to be reborn from the core of every planet with an archonexus. I also think it'd spice things up if certain scenarios were "manufactured" by the archonexus, so he'll wake up with a prosthesus in place of a missing limb, owed to his (this planet's Laz) time as a mercenary, but he'll also have a sickly frail wife who he only has vague memories of. God, just thinking of how cruel that is...
I think Laz should get the same level of prosthetic in every modpack. He gets a steampunk eye now and dies? He gets a simple bionic eye (or equivalent) in the next one.
As for names, The Rough should be called Arai and Black Toad as Kuro. Sticking to the theme!
I like the idea of it being a "Quantum Leap" kind of thing. Have it be randomly generated so it's like he jumps into the body of his multiverse counterpart's body, injuries and scars included

I think that he should keep his body part for one universe shift, so like now he would keep his steamwork eye or whatever other prosthetics he gains from this go around until he dies in the next universe. That way, you can avoid the torso situation by trying to outpace the rate the prosthetics would disappear.
I also personally think it would be neat if you added some story to this, past what happens in each universe. Maybe Laz makes a universal rival, that shows up in every subsequent universe, or maybe he starts breaking down after a dozen universes because his mind cant comprehend dieing 12 times. Food for thought. Can't wait for more!
What if Laz is an experiment of an Archotech? His power is coming from a distant archotech engine and maybe he could somehow get to it and end his suffering or something!

Id suggest if you manage to get a replacement part ie the steampunk eye and you die you regenerate his eye back to normal so you don’t have to keep any mod in and you won’t get stuck already love this series hope it sticks around!

You should make it that he keeps his skills and injuries that don’t really do anything like scars but through regenerate other body parts. That eye for example. Also make it give him an effect every time he reincarnates like the cryosleep casket effect to balance it out

ive been watching the channel for a while and videos and series like this gave me inspiration to play rimworld and and actually give it a chance! i found out its actually fun! i love the series that feature characters such as napoleon, shady oak, and bachus! the entire ratknight exstended collective universe is amazing and i hope you keep up the good work!

With your storytelling style, a character arc were he develops interesting character traits would be neat.
For instance, several deaths in, he becomes more bold, knowing he will return after he dies, or after a bunch of deaths he becomes depressed from the feeling of dying a bunch.
However you do this series, I’m excited to see what develops!
I think Laz should also gain and lose traits as the series progresses. Spouse dies? Now you're reclusive or depressed in the next life. Constant mood breaks due to ugly environment? Ascetic, or greedy, depending on how you want to play it. Die aged eighty from a heart attack? Sanguine or optimist.
This reminds me of the lore of Drifters, where the mc dies and gets isekai'd and wakes up in a fantasy world
There is an old actual legend that birthmarks are scars from what killed you in a previous life. Do with that what you will.

It's an interesting concept! "Random modpack" is an interesting concept, though...honestly might effect quality further on?
Also it could be a a good source of ideas for later "100 Days" series-for example Clockwork Samurai was probably not on anybody's bingo card, but if Laz doesn't make it through the upcoming raid next episode I for one would be very interested to see more of the modpack in question. Even bring up spinoff series where, for example, Black Toad and The Rough get a continuation.

I think The Black Toad could be renamed to the Black Diamond in reference to Blood Diamond now that the gun runner series is over. And I think it fits thematically for a rough and tough rogue samurai who has also turned his back now on his old clan in favor of following a supposedly immortal 'hidden master' who lives in the hills.

I think for the eye it should be like this…
If there’s no mod pack the bionic eye then replace it with a different bionic eye, maybe a bionic that fits in with the new world Laz is spawned into.
As for Names I’m thinking for For rough it could be Yoshi. YO- meaning good or excellent, and SHI- meaning Respectful or Honor.
And for Toad perhaps Kaeru which is a frog in Japan myth that symbolizes good fortune.
(I could’ve gotten a bit of my research wrong while looking for these names so I apologize if I did get any Inaccurate TwT)

Anway, may I suggest that Laz keep his skills and any new traits gained no matter how many times he died? It would make sense that he would still remember what he learned and how much he changed.

My thoughts on missing limbs is: if you never replaced it he doesn't have it next run. If you DID replace it, either give him the same prosthetic or if the mod isn't in the pack give him something with similar stats and part efficiency.
For your next session in the SnR Rifle Company universe, perhaps some Insectors and a Queen from VFE-I2 escaping a lab and being on the run from one of the governments might be a keen idea.
I think it would be fun if he would jump into several version of the RKRI, thus also expaning on the lore of these old series
If there’s going to be an anomaly obelisk near Laz whenever he dies, maybe something with the void (anomaly, not the faction of course) could be what’s bringing him back
If he’s missing a limb like an arm when he dies maybe he comes back with a flesh tentacle for an arm. I don’t know much about the flesh appendages from anomaly so idk how much it could be used for him

I think if you go through the trouble of replacing his body parts with something last normal prosthetics, then you should either keep them or replace them with either a biological or new version. If you don't get past wood or normal prosthetic, though, you don't get to keep it, and if you lose it again during some point, you can't have it upon resurrection.
I say if the mod is removed than the eye should be kept but altered to perhaps another type like a bionic or something also, i think there should be a chance he is resurrected but comes back as a different xenotype and if one ends up being able to heal he might be able to recovered from old scars but it could be lost and Laz might even come to miss the scars that reminded him of friends, loved ones or even children he might have had! Suddenly healed but without any memories to remember them by.
Not to mention he could become in that instance a Sangophage but now he might have to hunt and drink peoples blood which presents its own problems.

Personally, have each death have a 75 percent chance to keep all permeant injuries from that life, and a 50 percent chance to keep permeant injuries from previous lives.
That way, it will keep changing, while also leaving injuries as impactful.
I feel like if he lost a limb, either by replacing it or getting it chopped off, the reincarnation doesnt have that limb. only any archotec limbs/organs are transferred, and any bionic or lower vital organs are replaced

For everytime he dies I think the level of injury that carries over should be from how far he made it, as in if he died quickly before a year had passed he would keep lost limbs but if he made some good achievements and had some effect on the world he was currently in he only gained a scar

I think you shouldn’t keep scars or injuries. Having Laz start fresh each time makes it feel like he switches into one of his alternate selves in another universe each time he dies. Also just for balance, so he doesn’t end up blind from the get go.

I think that if he gets a prosthetic eye, and then dies, but the next mod list doesn't include the mod his prosthetic is from, just give him back his normal eye. You worked to get that prosthetic, and I think that should carry over.

i think only the last life's injuries should be scars in the next one. I don't think he should end up looking like Deadpool lol
my suggestion for The Rough is: Jenny the sparrow. a down on her luck pirate who took up a easy raid in her opinion, hoping the take some shinies as she was done with drifting all around, using the last bit of silver she had to get the armor and her trusty rifle, as the last thing she had from her old captain
I think the character should revive with the curent modpack's equivalent to his bodyparts. Say he dies and revives in a world where steamworks isn't a thing, then his eyes would be some kind of early bionic. Of course, if possible. Else, you can just chose to remove the part, but I think it's a rather fair failsafe against... Well, the walking torso.
if he gets prosthetics, you should keep the mods in, 'cause there certainly aren't that many mods that add prosthetics and it'd be very interesting if he'd get an archotech arm and then go back to stone age
I have an idea for one of the next playthroughs with Laz. How about a Star Trek kinda playthrough with a utopian federation warring with the Klingons/Romulans/Cardassians over some remote yet strategic planet?
Quick note, samurai rifleman were called ahigaru.. so if you make it far enough, you should make a corps of them.. i loved them in shogun total war.

You should use the Immortals mod in one of these runs. Get some highlander style immortals running around. (also makes for good organ harvesting if you capture one)

And another series that would be great would be a steampunk serie in rimworld, like a British tecnocratic steampunk empire
I think each life he comes back he should get back any body parts he lost in the previous life, otherwise what you could do is if he has a say clockwork prosthetic maybe in the next world it will be a bionic one or a basic one or maybe even the same one if the mod stays
