I'm not being judgmental but I never let any of my dogs down the years drink from puddles, they can in some cases catch bacterial infections from them, I also get a bit upset at people letting their dogs drink from puddles in front of my house on the road as at this time of year in particular there could be antifreeze in those puddles from the cars using the road. Gulli is a beautiful dog, best wishes for 2025.
Happy New Year! You're absolutely right, there is a risk of bacterial infection associated with puddles and stagnant water. In our rural location, they are unavoidable (as are ticks, unfortunately). I'm a vigilant dog owner however, and I suppose you could say that all of my dogs down the years have drunk from woodland puddles. It's important that people be aware though, so thanks for raising it! 🐶
