I'd add that "would" is also used when talking about hypothetical situations and wishes: "I would pay off my mortgage if i won the lottery." "I wish he would stop smoking."

This made me clear because I thought before that "Won't" was the contracted form of "Would not". Thank you for clarifying the uses of this modal verb. I'm glad there is someone like you to teach Filipinos how to speak English the right way because I noticed a lot of Filipinos just pronounce the English words anyway they want TV reporters,high ranking government officials and highly "educated persons" do. They don't have to speak English There's nothing wrong speaking in Tagalog I hope a lot of your subscribers will learn from you English words are suppose to be pronounce the way they should be

Very good explanation. My only comment is "will" does not necessarily mean voluntary act or willingness of the doer. It's because someone "will" do actions that they are told to do. Like, on my order "the erring employee" will issue an apology to the client.

Karaniwan hindi ako gumagamit ng contracted form. Ngayon ko lang nalaman na "Won't" ay pareho lang ng "Will not". Hahaha!
This made me clear because I thought before that "Won't" was the contracted form of "Would not". Thank you for clarifying the uses of this modal verb.

I'm glad there is someone like you to teach Filipinos how to speak English the right way because I noticed a lot of Filipinos just pronounce the English words anyway they want TV reporters,high ranking government officials and highly "educated persons" do. They don't have to speak English There's nothing wrong speaking in Tagalog I hope a lot of your subscribers will learn from you English words are suppose to be pronounce the way they should be

Very good explanation. My only comment is "will" does not necessarily mean voluntary act or willingness of the doer. It's because someone "will" do actions that they are told to do. Like, on my order "the erring employee" will issue an apology to the client.
