@adamthomas4638 to each their own. I've debated on converting my '68 C10 to a shortbed, but I've decided to leave it a longbed. If I want a shortbed I'll buy one. Oh, wait. I already bought a shortbed. 😅
Collete don't worry Adam has the bug too, do you remember when he bought the compound and found out it had a tractor...he was so stoked like a little boy at Christmas. Every time he gets on it he is grinning from ear to ear. Now you need some miniature fainting goats🤔❤

Love the truck. Here’s my build idea. Build the big block as they are crazy fun when built or 4 rotor swap. T56 for hyway use. Willwoodbrakes and ridetech suspension for handling and stopping. Unistere make a rack and pinion conversion for c10. Get a vintage air and tmi in interior to update the inside. New wiring as they make kits already. Dakota digital makes a modern factory looking gauge cluster. New wheels and a dark blue paint job w Crome to complement the look. No matter what is done I can’t wait to see the build.
Not a chicken person , however seen the Silkies and was wondering if you had seen an adult Sultan chicken by far the most majestic looking chicken breed
Throw on a Holley Sniper throttle body EFI system. Then do the full QA-1 front suspension. It will completely transform the way it drives without taking away any usability.
I drive past the compound on my way to work. I can't wait to see that around town. Talk to Scott at horse power ranch, he might have some tricks for getting the door and tailgate unlocked.
The little things that you can fix or replace that make a huge difference on these trucks are endless. Door weather stripping, and Borgeson quick ratio steering box were huge changes for my 78. Talk to Jesse at Level 7 Motorsports if you want to make one into an absolute monster. He also has a whole brake, clutch, and manual braking solutions that could do a tone without switching to hydrologic.
I love that you get different stuff and not just JDM stuff like Adam. I also really enjoy your builds. I can appreciate JDM, but I am an American muscle car guy at heart. I hope you do some really cool stuff to it, like a nice big disc break conversion, and they are so many companies out there that make handling kits for that thing, so that it’s not just “lowered”, but lowered so it actually handles, with proper a arms, proper shocks, springs, and sway bars. You can still keep the rest old school, and have the same look, but the thing will just drive better, be safer, and more reliable. But either way, BRING THE BUILD!!! I’m ready.
I absolutely love Collete 2.0!!!!!!!! I bought a 71 Chevy P\U Work Truck when I lived in Myrtle Beach years ago but it had a small block in it and had no power so I sold it to a friend. I later got a 78 Ford 4X4 P/U with a 428 cobra jet and 4 sp from a guy over in the forest city area of Orl when I lived in WP. Get the HAT, you will look so fine in it driving the P/U. I hope the rotary stuff has gone to old muscle car/truck mania. It's so much more fun. Luv ya!

Trucks and chickens, I’m here for it lol been waiting on this video with all the teaser shorts and IG posts. Can’t wait to see you dig into this and put your flair on it.
I have a 1971 C10 and love it. Mine is still 3 on the tree. Medium bronze and white. I was looking for a 4 speed manual on the floor but it just wasn’t in the cards. I am leaving mine as stock as possible. Working on the inner and outer rockers now otherwise very little rust for a Wisconsin truck. Sad part is winters are too long. Sitting in the garage hibernating now. Enjoy your truck!
I have loved C10s since Roadkill was airing on TH-cam. As an Aussie, we do not get these trucks (utes, sorrynotsorry) so this is a way to vicariously live through my fave TH-camrs to build cool stuff.
Get the screen gaurd for the cowl vent then clean out the gunk and leaves from the inside kick pannel vents. Then clean out the inner doors. Then poke a wire in the rocker pannels to clean out the drain holes.
Collet you need a compound Turkey as well. They get along with the chickens and can learn to wander in safe areas. Ours likes to hang out a play with the dogs as well.
Congrats, Collete! Welcome to the dark side! I have two C10s. One is a '76 2wd shortbed, and a '68 2wd longbed that I've had for over 20 years. To me, the 2nd gen C10s were the best era, especially the 67-68 because I like the look of the V-shaped grill and the sloped hood. Looking forward to the build!
I love that your doing a C10 build. In a weird but absolutely amazing way. A C10 kind of suits you well. This is gonna be a sweet truck after you put your Collete vibe on it. I can't wait to see what you have planned for it.
chickens are great, throw your left over fruit/veggie scraps and old bread etc in their pen you'll be rewarded with delicious eggs. Also make sure to get crushed oyster shells for healthy, strong egg shells and very small rocks (grit) for them to eat and keep in their gizzard for digestion! plenty of space and water and they'll be very happy
I have many cars in my driveway from E30s, 240s, 300zx, vettes, IS300s but out of all of them, my fav vehicle to drive and work on is my Lowered C1500. So simple and easy to work on, find parts and its comfortable! It also rips bigger burnouts than most of my cars lmao.
Very cool! Love you aren't afraid to try different things. With Adam being an introvert and you an extrovert. Getting him out of his comfort zone is entertaining lol

i had one of those back in the day, it was a column shift three speed and had a 350 faded green with a camper shell. I still miss that old girl she threw a rod threw the block and couldn't justify cost of a new motor. I saw on power-nation a kit to update suspension and brakes to make it handle better on roads. a hard cover on back would help mileage. Absolutely amazing!! I have a 69 c10 that my dad and I got before he passed away that I’m building. I love that you’re doing this! Will be watching every episode.
C10s have the same suspension setup that NASCAR racers have used from 1960 to the most recent generation. This is why they would remark about "truck arms" when speaking of the lower rear suspension components. Legend has it that the racers wanted the longer arms but the designs of the cars had already been finalized so they put them under the trucks which would let them qualify as a "stock suspension component".
Looking forward to this build. Growing up, my father had a ‘71 Longhorn. I learned to drive on that truck. Unfortunately he sold it probably 20 years ago and I haven’t been able to locate it. On the hunt for a good donor for my son and I to build.
Love the truck and the chicken fam. Ain't no thing but a chicken thing. I'd love to have my own fully off-grid homestead one day, with ducks, food garden etc. Cost of living is too damn high.
The Chevy C10 looks great. I would like to see it slammed with air bags and some 20inch deep dish rims. Change the color to a flake paint with some raised seats so you can see through the windshield better. Have fun with your c10 truck.
We have had chickens 5 years. Adam will soon understand "Chicken math" it never adds up, haha. You will need a decent size coop but only a couple nesting boxes because they will probably only use 1. Very easy to take care of. We use Horse stall PDZ sand from Tractor supply inside our coop, you sift it like cat litter.
Absolutely looking forward to where this goes. Awesome to see something completely different. Congrats, I hope to see this thing driving around Brevard.
