like keenan said defense exist but they are bad , the dude pute zero pressure on the kimure stay on his back and didnt move with the kimura trap you stay sideways you follow him and you slow him down with the kimura when he turns
@@copyninja8756 Marcelo was doing Jiu-Jitsu all day when he was in his teens. He lived in the academy and cleaned the floors instead of paying for classes. He was in the kids class and adults class also, practicing against all different body types, different weights, etc. I think that's how he learned, so well, what works against another body. He had ALOT of experience.
Thank you!! Nate Morrison gets the kimura trap on me ALL THE TIME lol... i've been trying to strip the hand grip but next time i'm going to work this move. Thank you!!!
Far be it for me to criticize Marcelo, but I'd like to see how he escapes a proper sumi gaeshi to KT. I struggle to call this a KT with the amount of space and arm extension the uke is allowing.
Or if he turns into you and is on all fours, as long as ur elbow is below and inside his elbow, u can throw him on his back again(just watched a Danaher dvd about this)
Shane Manske point taken. But the set ups were different for the kimura from Keenan vs jacare. This counter seems to be geared more toward the kimura trap Keenan used
@@tajm5006 I gotcha. My point is that there are thousands and thousands of hours Marcelo has rolled. Only a fraction of this is on youtube, so it's pointless to just go off of what we've seen

Just when you think the Kimura Trap is unbeatable...

@@elmundir It's a mechanical breakdown. In sparring its way more resistance both ways.
I think I'll find more good use out of the move he's countering than the actual counter at my level. Thanks for publishing these, Marcelo.
T kimura is deadly at white belt and also early blue belt
Glad to see you guys are uploading videos again!
Marcelo always find the best moves in BJJ
He really does. Maybe it's because he's drilled for so long that he knows what "doesn't" work, so he's just left with everything that does! Lol
@@danielt.4330 Or maybe he practises everyday and works specifically on solutions to emerging problems.

This is an excellent counter of a counter
We always learn the moves, I can't remember ever learned how to get out of it, definitely not like that.
So important...
Marcelo Garcia é um dos melhores do mundo até hj e com toda certeza um dos caras que me inspirarem no jiu, oss mestrão
Man I love Marcelo!
Gi or No-Gi - Marcelo is Da Man
Marcelo is bjj beast and great teacher.
So that's how you defend the T kimura of Danaher's system
Beautiful counter attack.
Respeitada técnica do controle da submissão.!
Por favor professor, faça alguns vídeos em português. Osss
As the one doing the kimura trap shouldn't he roll in after the takedown and bury the arm in in the hips of the opponent?
Thank you:)
Thanks.
Impecable
thks for lesson, oss

when marcelo talks ...you listen dammit
The best.
Looked like there was a knee bar there! Possibly
That is why you pressure the figure four grip against your opponents hip so he can not turn into you ....
agreed

Must have brainstormed this after his roll with Keenan
because after decades of rolling, that's the only person to have put him in a kimura...🧐
Shane Manske jacare actually submitted him with a kimura from full guard
