Had he lived, Popper would have loved Prokofiev's symphony-Concerto. I love this tempo, BTW. I'd rather play this piece a little bit on the slower side and make it more musical than turn it into a buzzing cascade of meaningless notes.

    clarity > speed . What a pro

I wonder how he managed that without a single wrong note.

The tempo is a bit under I think. still INSANELY IMPRESSIVE!!!!! Hopefully I can play this well one day

Amazingly he's playing the high notes on a CELLO oO can't tell how many times I'm already practicing, but compared to his, my skill is very poor... and don't even dare to mention the speed...

To me, it seems that solo has almost 2 of the same notes in a row on most of the piece, SOOOOOO if you cut off half the notes, then it doesn't seem as hard to learn I would think. NOt nearly as hard...HMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!

But then you literally lose the whole point of the piece... it would sound so different... the whole point of the piece is to sound "mischievous" like elves, and have a light feeling. That's why Popper decided to always keep the bow moving.
