I am currently in classic vocal training. And one thing my trainer told me, that I had to tell myself, when I belt is the more you open your mouth, the better sound you'll produce ( when you use the diaphragm). Your voice needs to be able to fill up your entire mouth as it reverberates, and lowering your tongue so it's not in the way will help you produce a stronger sound as well. For me, it's to put my tongue behind my bottom teeth. That aside, my belting completely changed the couple months of training, and I'm so glad it did. Because, not only am I using my diaphragm more, and it's not so shouty, I am now learning how to belt properly, more healthy, and have correct placement. It sounds so much better! I PROMISE YOU! Btw, I'm not talking directly to YOU, Hannah. Because you are a professional, obviously at this. I'm talking to everyone here.
