i always forget how dark elsa gets in the broadway show. like this song is awesome, but it’s real dark
I am currently in classic vocal training. And one thing my trainer told me, that I had to tell myself, when I belt is the more you open your mouth, the better sound you'll produce ( when you use the diaphragm). Your voice needs to be able to fill up your entire mouth as it reverberates, and lowering your tongue so it's not in the way will help you produce a stronger sound as well. For me, it's to put my tongue behind my bottom teeth. That aside, my belting completely changed the couple months of training, and I'm so glad it did. Because, not only am I using my diaphragm more, and it's not so shouty, I am now learning how to belt properly, more healthy, and have correct placement. It sounds so much better! I PROMISE YOU! Btw, I'm not talking directly to YOU, Hannah. Because you are a professional, obviously at this. I'm talking to everyone here.

One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising TH-cam recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills.
I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 17 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic.
The covers she performed on that show are very popular on TH-cam. Many TH-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Helwa Ya Baladi" and others.

I went to see the show in London with my Mum, My neighbour Pat and her daughter Charlotte even though I thought Samantha Barks was gonna be in it cause I saw her face and name in the cast but instead it was her swing Laura Emmett but it was amazing, Elsa’s dress transformation was amazing and Monster is my favourite song in the show💚

There are 3 versions of the song: The solo with Eurydice (Ashley Barrett), the solo with Orpheus (Darren Korb), and the duet when the characters finally reunite. It's interesting that while the lyrics are the same, the song takes on different tones and meanings, depending on who's singing (peaceful acceptance + moving on, vs regret + melancholy), and I think you'd enjoy how they both contrast and compliment each other 🙂

I love this song so much. My favorite part is her considering suicide "Is everyone in danger as long as I'm alive? Do I kill the monster? If I die will they be free?"
She doesn't necessarily say she won't do it but she says she'll stay alive long enough to stop the storm "What if after I'm gone --? I have to stay alive to fix what I've done. If I'm a monster and it's true, there's only one thing left for me to do but before I fade to white I'll do all I can to make it right."
and that's what gives her time to realize she wants to live.
