    The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation developed the business sustainability cohort’s initiative under a Pollution Prevention Grant from EPA Region 1. The pilot cohort targeted the brewery sector in Vermont with the goal to increase energy efficiency, reduce water usage and minimize waste generation. This project aligns with the Region’s Smart Sector Program targeting forward-thinking options for environmental improvement in the food and beverage processing sectors.
    The purpose of this video is to illustrate how businesses in the food and beverage industry in EPA’s Region 1 comply with EPA regulations through the Smart Sectors Program. This video is not meant to express or imply that EPA or the federal government endorses the products or services these companies provide.
