I love how the vases came out. Not too sure about the candle sticks, but you got them the way you loved them in the end and that's what counts. TY for another excellent Vid.
The little plastic bags from grocery store work great if you want an irregular dabbed on paint finish. Put your hand inside the bag with paint on outside of bag and keep twisting the bag around as you go. The finished look is really amazing.
Please MIX GLUE INTO THE COMPOUND IF YOU DO NOT THE COMPOUND WILL DRY UP AND NOT HOLD IT WILL FALL OFF THEIRS NOTHING TO HOLD IT ON TO THE VACE IVE DONE IT IT WORKS AND LAST MUCH LONGER WITH THE GLUE ADDED I USE ELMER'S WHITE GLUS
Thank you for taking risks and showing us, teaching us new things that are truly FANTASTIC!! I love pottery so needless to say I can't wait to try this. Thank you, Yvonne for teaching me showing me and it's okay taking risks, having fun and believe in your own masterpiece. I absolutely love your channel...🥰🥰🥰 I learn something new each and every time...👍🥰😍💕🤯
lol! Don't you know editing can make anything look so simple and beautiful. That's why I appreciate your honesty. You share the whole process with us so we know that sometimes you just have to keep trusting the process and other times, sand it and start over. Thank you!!!
I like em all :) Thank You for showing us all how everything you see in a 30 second video can take time to create exactly what you were looking for!! This was so informative and fun.
Love the vases. The classic shapes play well with the finish. They look ancient...found in a Greek ruin. But the classic shapes are timeless. As always your vision is wonderful.
Love, love how your vases turned out! I did make a special trip to Home Depot to buy some materials after watching many, many tutorials about recreating the textured pottery look. I'm hoping Dry Dex Spackle will work the same as their Joint Compound b/c that''s what I bought. As far as the candlesticks, it's all about "crafting" and experimenting, so it's all about a learning experience. Working with products that are water based means many things can simply be washed off if we don't like how they turned out--been there, done that! The trick is to remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. If we learn something new in the process, that's a bonus. Thank you for taking the time to paint, film, edit and post the process. I appreciate the time you always put into your tutorials. BTW, I enjoyed watching your Tik Tok vids, as well, I'm now a follower!
I sure wish I could go to Michigan just to shop your booths. AWESOME as always. I'm gonna go through my home and get my vases out and redo them. See you just inspired me. LOL
Love how the vases turned out. The candle holders....not such. I like them with just the black. Like watching you try new techniques. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! I love how here turned out. I did a cross a while back in a similar technique with steel, peacock and white wax. I did the base peacock and them dialed back the brightness with the steel and white wax. I love the combination. But I’m so going to try your texturing on pottery. I love it
I have a cool story for everyone.....while we were remodeling our kitchen which I wanted in a European Spanish farmhouse style, I desired something with texture.....it was joint compound....I began applying this to the walls as well as the ceiling. It was almost done by the time DH got home from work. It has been many years and still looks fantastic with texture and dimension. A relatively easy and effective application. Subbed and thankyou for inspiring me yet again to do something wonderful!!
Wow! That creative mind of yours seem to be in overdrive, now that you can devote more time to your craft! If you decide to change up the candlesticks, please show us the result! Thanks again for sharing your process.
😮WOW. I wonder how many times in your life that you’ve been told that your hair is absolutely perfect.. chef’s kiss!! ❤lol I LOVE this tutorial. I’m trying to replicate those vases now. Stunning!!
I love all of them! I wasn't sure about the candle stick and black but I have to say I love them, they look like completely different candle sticks. They would go with about anything. And the vases are stunning. I dont blame you for keeping them all. Great job. God bless
I love the faces you gave them such a beautiful texture and colour they look amazing candlesticks are not my things however yours turned out beautiful thank you so much for sharing have a great day God bless you and Chris
Like the vases, not big on the candlesticks, however, they are all unique and beautiful in their own way. Those vases go so well with your flipped coffee table. All are inspiring. TFS!! xx
Yvonne, this was so much fun to watch! What a great technique! My favorite moment for the candlesticks was right after you applied the first grey layer over the black. But still, in the end, everything looked beautiful.
Nice to see a new technique! thanks for being brave and trying this out so I can try it too! :) you have such an amazing eye for color, and I so appreciate you and your work!!!
I absolutely love your vessels. The candlesticks were nice, but I didn’t like the black base coat. My preference would have been maybe a dark grey as the foundation paint. Thank you for this video…I shall paint some of my outdated candlesticks!🤗
I'm so happy for you that you're enjoying your retirement from hairdressing. I can see you're having a blast creating now that you have time. Love the vases. Not sure on the candle sticks. 😊
I just finished doing a ceramic vase today. I love the result! So much fun! It cost me $2.24 and was a clearance item from Hobby Lobby. I need to head to the thrift stores soon!😊 Loved your projects!

Wow amazing I have a couple chunky vases. Can't wait to try this
Wasn't real sure of the black candlesticks but after adding the lighter colors, I really like the way they turned out.
Very nice Yvonne and you could also add a thin layer of gauze over joint compound for even more texture.
Oh.. true

Even flat black they look so much better. But, what you created with them is inspiring. Can't wait to try this.
Love the vases. The classic shapes play well with the finish. They look ancient...found in a Greek ruin. But the classic shapes are timeless. As always your vision is wonderful.
