It's soooo nice to see you again Mimi! I missed you. It lifts me up to see that there are people in the world who are making the effort to eat healthy and think about the environment 🌱 I would love to see some chit chats videos on different subjects, similar to the previous video about the fashion industry. Sending you lots of kisses!
It's good to see you back on TH-cam... Your fridge is so relatable... In our fridge we also store leftovers in steel boxes or bowls.... We also have veggies, fruits, yogurt, some healthy drinks, some herbs and ginger in our fridge.
So happy to see you posting again, Mimi! And props for all the effort you put into reducing plastic! The valerian root + passionflower tincture you have is a popular remedy for insomnia; you could add some to an herbal tea before bed if you anticipate having trouble falling asleep. And if you need to revive the wilted greens in your fridge, soak them in ice water, and they will perk right up!
Love to see you back. As a Canadian myself, staples are true maple syrup, unsalted butter, cucumber and tomatoes. You've given me the push to go plastic free! Thanks Mimi
It seems like you like somewhat of a minimalist lifestyle. Do you ever think about doing a video on decluttering or how to help people live more minimalistic? I’m interested in seeing how you organize different spaces in your home because it seems like your environment is very important to you and your family and keeping things around you beautiful/peaceful. Thanks 😊 ❤
It feels like Mimi is the type of person that once she gets into something she goes deep into it, no halfway. She’s the all or nothing type 😅 I find it fascinating and admirable !
Love the emphasis on plastic free! Its SO hard in the UK... everything is wrapped in plastic, even at the better supermarkets. So even if you want to reduce your impact, the chains make it really difficult. Thank you for inspiring us!
I’m amazed that Alex have the chinese throat syrup, its a staple in almost every chinese household. When my toddler gets a cold, we give them a teaspoon of it as its all natural. 💗
Follower here since your gratitude walks in Canada . Love these videos . I’d love to see you do a video -come with me grocery shopping- I’m trying to envision the shops that provide baggies instead of plastic , there must be something special about that
Great video 😊 I have fruits and vegetables in my fridge and almond milk, berries and frozen bananas for frozen ice cream except that I peel them first and then store them in a glass container and that way they are ready to be used. That’s it for the shared items in the fridge. Have a great weekend and greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
It’s always fun to see what people have in their fridge. I also have kombucha, ginger, peppers, French butter (I sometimes get German butter, because they’re more creamy than American butters), Romano cheese, wine, and miso, that I’ve actually used. I also have wild caught, local fish that is thawing in my fridge. It’s flash frozen, and it was caught last week. I recently had the Vichy Catalan. It’s sooo salty! I couldn’t drink it. I had it in my wine bar. They say it helps to prevent hangovers. I didn’t test that theory. 😁
You are finally back❤ Mimi! How refreshing to see you again. Please more videos Mimi. How are you preparing for the next year food crisis, and have you considered growing your own food? God bless you🙋🏽♀️
Fantastic tour - thank you Mimi! I would be interested in learning about your favorite cookware (cast iron? stainless steel?) and kitchen accessories (espresso maker?) you love to use in your kitchen. My husband and I also have the Berkey Water Filter and love the fresh water it creates. Thank you in advance! Blessings to Alex, Alexa, and you! xoxo, Émilie
I loved this Mimi! I love seeing what people buy and have in their fridge. I love peppers 🌶 too, always have those in my fridge. And I love hummus 😋 that's always in my fridge too.x 😊
Let Alex know that many people around the world shop like you. It's actually normal in my world (normal US town). I'm sure in some cities people buy online, but it's not everyone. You have interesting food in your refrigerator very different than mine. Thank you for sharing it with us. It's nice to see you doing videos again.😊
Frozen bananas last for months and are great for smoothies or recipes requiring them. I live in a suburb of N.Y.C and my refrigerator is stocked with extra meat, fish and frozen veggies and ravioli during the winter in case we have Nor'Easter's and blizzards during the season where getting to the store is difficult. Then when snow season is over, we use up everything and the fridge is less stuffed. If I lived within walking distance to a supermarket I probably would stock up less. We are not really big on leftover's so I try to cook enough for each meal. I do store food in glass reusable container's and jars. I have mesh bags for fruits and veggies and shop with cloth, washable shopping bags. It's a start. Love seeing you more active on You Tube.
I was just slicing a persimmon when you showed us yours. Also in cuba we used valeriana for relaxing. In the 80s we had a big influence from USSR (i grew up watching lolek and bolek. )
Same here I hardly have anything in my freezer, only a bag of green beans and spinach from time to time. My fridge is full of vegetables, fresh herbs like you as I'm a big fan of cilantro, I eat the whole bunch in one meal haha. The only processed foods I have in my fridge are coconut yoghurt, mustard and coconu milk.
Loved this video! I really missed your youtube content. I especially loved your what I ate today videos because they were such great meal inspiration. I’d love to see one of these again at some point 😍🤗
Wow! Mimi it’s so nice to see you again I. TH-cam! ♥️ Please more recipes 🙏🏽 thank you for inspiring me since I got married 😅 (5 years ago since I found you..) 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Welcome back Mimi! Alex's Mom is soo right. The vodka, and in my Jamaican culture we use Appleton Estates White Rum, really cuts the fever. Everytime!🙏🙏
Great to see you again Mimi! One thing I'm surprised to see that you have in your fridge and basically in majority of chinese household would be Pei Pa Koa (The syrup that Alex takes when he has a sore throat), we take it too. Sometimes you can mix it with one tablespoon and warm water is also really yummy to drink. Sending you love from Singapore!
Hey Mimi 🥰 Thank you for this great video! For the bananas I always remove the skin when they are too ripe and I cut them in two and store them in a box 😊they are great for smoothie 👍
Great video Mimi!! I would really love to see your favourite recipes to see some inspiration as I eat most of veg and fish 🙂😊❤️ thank you for this video!!
Love seeing all the health inspirations.. going to google some. I always have lemons, ginger, kurkuma, hummus and kombucha in the fridge. Vegetables too. We always cook with miso (not for soup) for sauces .
Hi Mimi I enjoy this video. I missed you here on TH-cam. I love learning from you. On a side note can you do a video about the water filter next to the fridge. I would really appreciate it. Thanks 😊
Клюква может хранится ооочень долго в холодильнике, не переживайте! Но при случае, лучше сделать морс из нее и зарядиться витаминами 😊 рада возвращению Вашей прекрасной семьи на ютуб🎉
Mimi, where is that sweater from? Looks great and also wanted to ask if we could get another work from home stretches to do video? Your last one was great, I need more standing overhead stretch movements after sitting. :)
I also have cucumbers, pickles, grapes, lettuce, and homemade jam of pumpkin 😍 I live in country site of Portugal, near the ocean. So it’s very difficult to by some of products you have. Like kombucha 😥 or maple xarope. I don’t like to order online, so I buy locally, and basically we eat what we have 😍 There is no Natura or daylesford. Only normal market and agricultures literally by the street. And of course, fish market that sell fish that it fished in my area 👌🏻
Hello! Thank you for the good info shared. I am curious about your water filter next to your fridge. Was there any criteria for you to choose that one instead of one made from clay or other ceramic material? Big thanks in advance. Cheers.
I spotted the chinese cough syrup as soon as you opened the fridge door. We grew up on it and would pretend to have a cough so mum would give us some ❤️❤
Omg its so nice to see you again. I follow you before you had Alexa when you were making vidoes about hair. Things i have the same are peppers, limon, ginger, cucmbers, yougurt, and milk. haha Thank you for coming back ❤
Hi Mimi! Awesome video. All the berries in the freezer won't go bad and can last for at least a year if they were never defrozen for any reason. How come that you fruit and veggies don't get moldy. In my freezer a few days and tomatoes and bellpeppers start getting moldy, broccoli starts rotting, cucumbers go bad. I don't really know what the hell and why it all goes bad so fast. Any advice?
Love this! Thank you for sharing. I’m so interested in your plastic free journey. I’d love to watch a video about eco friendly/ethical kid toy/clothes/etc.

Sounds good 😊
I usually pill and cut bananas before freezing. It's then very easy to blend them: just putting them frozen into the blender
So nice to see you active on TH-cam!
So interesting! We have that Chinese syrup for sore throats - used to love it when I was a kid and got to have a teaspoon of that when sick

I am curious about your water filter next to your fridge.
Was there any criteria for you to choose that one instead of one made from clay or other ceramic material?
Big thanks in advance.

Please do share your plum sorbet recipe too, Mimi?
