Jarad,.. something I don’t understand. Why are new folder designs with premium grades of steel brought to market with such heavy blade thickness? A folder doesn’t generally get the abuse that a fixed blade does. It’s reasonable to offer “hard use” folders with thick blade stock. However our typical folders with premium steels don’t require heavy blade stock. It just adds weight, cost and sacrifices slicyness (word?).

This knife looks great now. I wish they went with internal stop pin instead. I can easily file or dremmel out a little cutout fro the lock bar access, though we shouldn't need to do that.
I really like this knife. It's very clean looking, looks to be very functional, quality seems to be there. Nothing stupidly fancy about it, it's not like the company is trying too hard. Looks good man. I'll be making this purchase. I like it a lot. Thanks for the upload

Just got this,and I agree with you about the lockbar access,to the point it's starting to agitate me and mess my thumb up, thinking I need to get the Dremel out but in doing so I risk removing to much and also then the black coating on the liner will be removed lol, wondering if maybe you could do a video about it??or something

I have the second version of this I think 🤔 got it like 8 months ago, I never use it thedetent is too strong and I can barely flip the damn thing out half the time plus it's too thick behind the edge like you said in the previous video. This one looks better though for sure I wish I could just trade mine for the new version 😂 doesn't look good enough to go out and buy since I already have one 😂✌🏻
Same here. I’ve tried loosening the pivot screw and adding nano oil to the pivot and detent. Feels like it leaves my finger raw with how strong the detent is in combination with the aggressive jimping.
Take it apart and adjust the detent! Neeves knives had a video on how to adjust it
You should take some pressure off your detent, that way you can enjoy it, you can always lower the edge angle to make it cut better after your action is better

Flipping the not forgotten civivi Riffle . Seen it’s discontinued . What a nice slicey knife with great action . No one talks about it though too much anymore kinda like the Kubey 322 and momentum are going to get cf scales 👍👍 deservingly . Everyone should get one on sale before they’re gone .
If anyone is watching this in 9/23, I picked up this knife for $37 on Amazon. It is a decent knife, especially for that price, although having only a front-flipper is a bit of pain. And it can be kind of a pain to deploy often resulting in my just walking the blade open although that may only be my knife. Fyi the knife I picked up is in green with a black PVD coated, 14c28n blade. The other colors were about $50.
Definitely going to get this now. Was skeptical at first, but you totally sold me on this one.

Nice looking knife overall but it being a front flipper only it isn't going on my list which is a shame because it has some good things going for it minus the closing on the sharpening choil that is. Like the steel and overall size and if your into front flippers it looks like a solid knife for the price. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

I have the one with the black coated flat grind blade. It came extremely sharp. The detent is perfect on mine, unlike some commenters that said theirs were too stiff. I wish it was a bit lighter and thinner. And I wish the clip had a little more space to accommodate the thickness of my jeans. But other than that I like it a lot. And it was only about $40.
Who slides their fingers along an edge to test it’s sharpness lol… whatever floats your boat I reckon. Thanks for sharing though, take care of them fingers 😊

It’s like Miguron forgets that people sharpen their knives at lower angles
I picked up the blacked out version not long ago and I’ve honestly had a horrible time with how strong the detent is on this front flipper. This is my first front flipper, which I’m sure compounds the issue, but it now mostly sits in my drawer because most of the rest of my knives are a pleasure to flip. I’ve tried to break it in by quickly popping it in and out of the detent hole but to little avail. It’s a shame because it is a beautiful knife that I’d otherwise be happy to have in my nascent collection.

Interesting. I have what might be the 2nd version, because it's in 14c28n but with a flat grind. My knife has a very weak detent. Not a problem for me, but I can shake it out *very* easily. Front flipping is super easy, and I can even top flip it, which is something I usually struggle with.
I got the brown handled version I think it's the second version I got it about six or eight months ago maybe longer but anyway it sits in the collection never used 💩 it's the only front flipper that I cannot deploy without struggling with it, half the time my thumb just slides off 😭 and I've got quite a few front flippers that I have no problem with so I don't think it's any fault of your own
@@BladeLabMiami even after loosening up the pivot screw and a reasonable amount of lubricant I generally can only open it two handed. Maybe I got a bum knife. Thankfully it’s not a “break the bank” kind of price as it’s definitely not in returnable condition. :D I am glad to hear that this doesn’t seem to be representative, or at least not ubiquitous. Thanks for chiming in. :)

So sad. These companies don't make knives, they make fidget toys or art knives. With that said I like the concept of this model. I Don't like the things you don't like, which keeps me from buying these cheaper Knives that could be really good. If they fixed those issues I'd be down in a heart beat. But I don't compromise on these things like other addicts do.

@CallMeCarl ...well, there is a point of diminishing returns, as with most things. What that point is depends on how much money you can spend. I am thankful for budget knives personally. Options are never a bad thing, if you ask me.
@@justinrowan4069 Agreed. If I needed a knife to take with me that I wasn't worried if I lost it.. maybe a budget knife. But I've never lost a knife and the knives I do use have always lasted because of how I buy them.
I had a knife gifted to me last year and they over spent and it underperformed. A total POS. I left that one at the bar for the bar tender to have hahah.
