I’m trying to create a good study system to implement when I start PA school in August and I am so happy I found your videos. I never knew the concept of spaced repetition when it comes to studying and I’ve always wanted to find a way to be able to keep things I’ve learned for the long term instead of forgetting it after an exam. Hey guys!!! First I want to thank you for introducing such a useful app that we can really put to good use. I have been trying to find a better study system and anki wasn’t as efficient as I wanted it to be so I think Remnote is perfect for that. Before I get started using Remnote, how do you think I should organise my uni curriculum because getting the organisation wrong the first time and starting from scratch seems daunting to me. This year we have 5 block modules consisting of Psych med, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal. And under each of these, there is anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, immunity, pathology etc.
thanks :) just a tip: idk if I´m me only one, but i feel that the "desk studio" only works if you film in two different desks, as you are two different people xD. For example at 3:20 it´s like you merged into one and then the other dude just spawn at the same desk. Its an unsignificant detail idk maybe im just being picky... either way thats a pretty nice and well made video, thank you!
Like you guys, I used Anki extensively in medical school. However, I always wished it could be combined with good note taking tools. I ended using Anki almost like a note taking app a lot of the time, which was not ideal. I wish RemNote would have been around then. Do you guys know if there's any way to export your Anki deck into Remnote?
Joshua McKamie yup feel your pain and I also used Anki like a note taking app because it had a search function to quickly locate a card lol. Currently we can export from Remnote to anki, and we are almost done with the import feature so that should be available soon
When remnote will be available for IOS users? I need it so bad. I don’t like using it on the laptop since it’s not handy enough. I can’t use it while commuting and stuff.
Catherine Murderstone yes we have a short set of tutorials on TH-cam, and it’s also on skillshare to help you get started using the tool. But the course itself is how to study for exams, not how to use RemNote, so if you are already familiar with RemNote then feel free to skip those basics!
Remnote is the best app I have used ever. Honestly, I traid A lot of Apps for notes & Flashcards .It's The Best when you making Flashcard you also organize The information And Every Thing you standing is . I had some problems when I use Remhote on my Tablet while I writting The Flashcard it's suddenly delets Every thingI wrote in the same line 😔 . I don't know why & it's really annoying to me cause I used to it and I can't switch to Any other device
Thanks for watching! That’s odd, it should work on mobile, although mobile is more streamlined for studying Rem than creating rem. If you plan on getting an iPad (which are awesome btw) it doesn’t have to be a pro! You can access RemNote from any browser
Can I ask a question about your studying? If you have 3 lectures in a day, do you make anki cards and learn in detail all 3 lectures that day or leave the understanding part until the weekend? I have A & P and it could take me like 5-6 hours just to anki one lecture so I don't know when to start the "understanding the lecture" part....
Understand the big concepts first. Then memorize the details once you understand the concepts. It’s easier in that order. It can take up a lot of time to transcribe your lectures into anki cards. That’s why we made RemNote (it automatically turns your notes into flashcards for you), and you can also export to anki if you wanted to
HitmanThunder PPT is something we hope to adapt to RemNote since it is so crucial for students. The best ways to do it now are paste them as images or use an image to text converter like Microsoft office
Love the idea of the extended brain...but frightened by: what if the software is discontinued? the risk of losing so many valuable information is quite high, don't you think? (love your vids guys)
With RemNote you can export your data as often and frequently as you’d like. With the Pro subscription, it will automatically backup your data every day. We don’t ever plan on the software being discontinued but thanks for expressing your concern!
Dude instead of being so generalised. Can you make a video on how you exactly take notes in RemNote and do all that linking tag portal features for medicine. Maybe giveout one of your notes. I'm a med student, just want to know how you guys take notes and make it work. After ive gone through several apps and ideas, its cumbersome. So if I get an idea how it can be used in Med (I can relate more if it is so, instead of being so general), it'll be very useful for allmed students out there

May I ask how many cards do you have in one Remnote account? Because I'm just starting with Remnote and I'd like to know how well it scales if you have 1000s or 10000s of notes.
It scales very nicely! Currently I have like 30,000 rem flashcards. Making several smaller documents of notes is better than 1 massive document however because it might take longer to load. But studying from flashcards won’t be affected

@@christinac1195 sounds like you're right on track! It's always preferred to make your own cards so that you understand the material better, but some people get away with the premade decks. The flashcard + spaced repetition model is ideal for medicine, which is why we built an Anki export into RemNote, and we are finishing up the Anki import as well!

Hi Gaby, RemNote can add audio and images to flashcards. Anki can do this as well. I am not sure of other similar apps that also have these features alongside the spaced repetition features.

If you have a card with one question and on the other side a very long text (hundreds of words) how can you remember all of that? Isn’t it better to make 10 cards and just have 5-10 sentences at the back of the card?
Hi I have noticed that you use IPad pro with magic keyboard, I am trying to decide wether to buy that or macbook for university. Main question is if Ipad has problems with opening files , importing from USB and etc. Please tell me if you noticed any disadvantages .Thank you in advance ... Great video!!!
That’s a very tough question! I love the iPad Pro, it is very efficient, portable, and quick. I have not had any issues opening files or importing from USB but that is because most of my work is synced through google drive or iCloud. The main disadvantages are software. You are confined to using IOS apps, so many programs aren’t able to used so I cannot stop using my laptop. Otherwise I love it!
you can download it to your computer and use it offline. all your files are backed up onto your local disk routinely so you have 100% ownership of your data

I would reccomend creating a folder for each module, and then create a document for each subject

we only have an app for android, no iOS yet. you can still use remnote on the web browser on your Apple devices!

it wasn't built when I took my step1, but Matty used it to study for his and did very well. What are you switching from? Anki?
@@KoiAcademy I used just Notability my first year and just recently got into Anki! I liked that there were premade decks :)

yes you can import plain text files into RemNote. We don't have powerpoint capability yet, but those features are in development!
