My trip to Substance was the highlight of my winter. I even bought a bigger ramp setup because of it. Gotta get a full set of pads though. I’m beating myself up!
Only tips for a back 180 over anything is pop a ollie like you usually would as high as possible but keep your front shoulder closed and look at your feet/ back (at least that s how i do em and it just makes em come around like nothing 🙏😉
Park is so sick...I was debating getting a monthly 24/7 membership at Substance for the snow attack this year but ended up finding a little secret indoor spot with smooth ground and a make shift manny pad that got me through...still a bit worried bout being inside with so many people..
@@robertborden2666 being able to roll up there anytime would be amazing - I'm about a 20 min skate away...but money's tight - maybe next winter! There are so many outdoor spots in that area seems a waste to pay money when the weather's good...but on those rainy/ snowy/cold/windy days this place is an absolute godsend
@@oldladyfalling7844 exactly what I thought. I would love to be able to put the kids to bed and then go have a 11-1 session or go way early before starting my day. But the weather is thankfully getting great again. You have a lot of choices. Good thing though, it’ll mean more room at indoors!
Not gonna lie, knee sliding from the deck to the bottom is scary and there is a chance of clipping. I saw a vid on knee sliding from Braille where vert prodigy JD Sanchez teaches to angle your knees either to left or right whatever you’re more comfortable with to avoid clipping because going in with your knees pointing straight can end up in bad times.
I CANT believe that in NEW YORK there is only one indoor skatepark? :O You still get snow and semi cold winters? You guys are just not skateboarding the whole winter?
