@@hoodglasses8237 he actually didn’t use reference paintings as far as I know, even if he was painting a painting he had previously done, he didn’t have it as a reference but preferred to paint from memory, or straight from the heart♥️ the reason he keeps looking off to the side is because he has a monitor there so he can see what the camera is currently focusing on. If he asks for a close-up he can look at the monitor to make sure whatever he wants to show is actually in frame😊 (He explained it in a previous episode when he had gotten a letter from someone asking him why he was looking off to the side)

I, like many I'm sure, wish he were alive, but I know he is painting with the Master Artist, when I see a gorgeous sky I'll say, "Now there's a sky that only God, and Bob Ross could make." Course, God has the Brush, and Bob is following along. Sure love and miss you my old friend. You would be amazed and just wouldn't believe how you have impacted the world with your craft. The peace, and relaxing sounds, your voice and work all of it a kind of therapy of love and care a sort of culture really. You most certainly are not forgotten. Step back with your tea and take a good long hard look Bob at the true mountains you have made within all our hearts. Rest my friend and thank you so very much! this man is a legend. and a pure genius.i go to bed every night listening to him, the relaxation is amazing, it's like I can paint a image in my own head, and I'm not even a painter. but I do like to draw though. he's very inspiring.
I'm trying to do this with colored pencils, an eraser and a liquid white pen corrector (the only art supplies that I have) and he's such a good teacher that it's working 🥺

When ever I need a little peace and quiet, I watch a lot of Bob Ross, I think he's wonderful TY Bob!!!! I'm seeing a lot of episodes I've never seen before and really enjoying them
Bob Ross makes me happy, his beautiful deep calming voice makes me happy and relaxed. But im not a happy person, i have a stresfull life, im living in a difficult place with difficult people. But when i watch Bob, his paintings, his voice, his charming beautiful personality makes me forget everything negative in my life for at least 27 minutes and it just relaxes me and makes me happy.

So inspired by him, I decided to give it a try. This was my first attempt - thought it was a good one with less colors. It turned out awesome. I have been watching endless episodes for hours before attempting. It really helped me pick up all the subtle tips and technics of his style.
I always thought of painting at that difficulty very hard. But when I watch Bob i noticed this is easy by it self (like how Bob covers the mountains in snow) ,but to the naked eye they appear as a illusion, impossible, and amazing. I don’t know how to explain it, but thanks Bob for clearing it up for me. :)

I painted a painting on krita using different types of brushes (closest to what Bob Ross used) and used only the colors he specified. Thank you so much Bob Ross! You did make a difference in my life since 2023 😊
I had a strange dream the other night, i asked Bob ross where alot of the paintings he did are, he told me they're behind the circuit breaker in his old office. Now im not even sure if he had an office but if he did can someone go check if there is a breaker in it.
Most of his paintings actually has a duplicate that he uses as a guide for the filming. The original is much nicer cause he had more than 23 minutes to pump it out with no edits.
