Very nicely concluded. In Dhyan or meditation comsmic energy enter through Brahm randhra ya dasham dvar and that energy hit on kundlini or pranshakti which than go upward cleaning nadis.whwreas in shaktipat, sadguru give cosmic energy to disciple which hit on kundaliny and energy start to go upward cleaning nadis and curing diesese.so, this is difference between meditation and shaktipat. You can activate your kundaliny through meditation otherwise kundaliny activated by sadguru, but, in meditation, energy flow of kundaliny Shakti is control by sadhak himself whereas in shaktipat ,kundaliny Shakti is controlled by sadguru till it reach sahastra ,the dasham dvaar ya Brahm randhra.so shaktipat is like rope way ,or plane where meditation is walking on path self without any outer help of any sadguru.advantages and disadvantages are there narrated above .sadhak can choose as per his or her capicity.

Very nice information .I just want to add about music while meditating.that some music is very helpful in meditation.many available on net like Alfa ,gamma which can carry your state of mind at particular laevel. Sir said that Bhajan is for the people who are at muladhar .but i want to add some Bhajan or song is so powerful that it works in meditation too.I can give example of Mira's song.it's available in CD form.if you just listen, within sometime your mind can feel something that you can feel Meera though the song words.it's my experience.I used many music while meditating.in meditation ,anyone can adopt any music or even any song no matter it's Bhajan or filmi song, just it touch your heart is your music.so there is no limitation of songs or music while mediating.
