I loved how the crowd cheered when the Anderson blew her horns. She’s a noble, brave, and heroic ship for going back out in that storm to search for the Fitzgerald.
The Anderson was about 15 miles behind the Fitzgerald when they lost contact. The captain of the Anderson volunteered to go back out into the storm to look for survivors.
"Well, I’ll go back and take a look, but God, I’m afraid I’m going to take a hell of a beating out there. I’ll turn around and give ‘er a whirl, but God, I don’t know. I’ll give it a try."

Damn horns from a boat and a bridge making this grown-ass Texas man cry!

Who's it getting chased by? The lake?
The day of my birthday! :D
I wished they won’t back to her classic livery not a fan of the tin stack colors on her bow. Buts she’s a beautiful ship no matter what.
Wow,....who cares
Boat Nerds…….also Anderson is a hero
Went back out in to the gale, even though she was near the relative safety of Whitefish Bay.
Some things are better left unsaid.
I care! Thanks!
Go away.
