The Turtle and Tank are SOOOOO much fun. They used to be even more fun pre 6.0 when you could have more commander perks/skills.

Good list definitely recommend the chisel with the right perks and camouflage it's really good but the longbomb is a at2 with the hetzer gun
The Thresher is possibly one the most OP tanks at tier 3.
One tank most people just don't know how to deal with is the hard case that tank is a beast you run up on this tank one on one on the battlefield just be ready it will take you ...or most of your hit points

If there’s a tier 10 mercenary tank I could recommend, I actually think the Tusk is amazing. Far better than it’s closer American Counterpart with better concealment, speed, and a smaller profile.
I have a few of theses now but l don't think the Merc line works as well in 2022. Of the TT Mercs it starts strong but drops of after Tier 6. For me in order of Op'ness, Thresher then Needle and last The Long Reach. (But it is very team dependant ). It will be interesting when WG bring out Contracts for non Merc tanks, let's hope they don't stuff it up.y
With the mercenary T.A.N.K. can u activate the rocket boosters ? Cause i think ive seen people with them on, but when i got the tank. It doesn't do anything
Machine is just pre-match tvp with decent Armor, chisel has decent gun good armor against ap standard rounds inconsistent against heat and premium round and tusk not sure yet haven't got it almost got it but what I've seen is its Sheridan but actually good and fun
can any explain why it says that you can buy mercenary tanks for silver because I was able to buy the thresher but not any of the others ?

After a couple years of watching along, I started when Mercs were introduced - coincidence, not because Mercs brought me in. As with many, what came before Mercs was what brought me to the game. As a noob with no tanks in the garage though, it was kinda nice for making me move up the tiers, out of my comfort zone to get the various stages completed. At times having to grind through a couple of tiers to get a single relevant tank - and then getting that upgraded quite fast because it was the only tank I had for a 120k XP contract stage. Beyond generally leaving me with a few tanks that I'd probably not have chosen but ended up really enjoying, through the various tech trees along the way. The stages with set requirements were kind of a simple early trainer to learn from. I like the 'one trick pony-ness' of most of the Mercenary tanks. Besides Buckets and lower tiers, the SpyGlass is the coolest because of the monocle, stats aside. Trinity is a dog but still bounced an FV4005 t'other day and it was the tank that made me go up the British mediums, passed the Comet (which I was failing miserably at). It, along with the BeachParty can be a giggle when the troll armour plays ball or the gun gets time to work. Long Reach is pain (when the gun is available so many other places). SlapJack is brilliant fun though, I mean T34-88 short 88 paired with the T29 turret and IS's ability to shift. Bottom tier it works as a stock medium. BigTop *can* be fun but that Ripper hull it gets along with the meh movement - feels like a very "tier 7" Ravioli. Still learning to love the Cruncher but still want to learn it at least, gotten too used to having turret armour I guess. Always had a soft spot for the premium tier 7 heavies running the Bofors, that thing still slaps. Absolution was the antichrist from release.. Sharpshooter feels worth the effort, even with the old contracts it wasn't a let down. FML, The Hardcase - WG giving us a reason to want arty in the game.. TANK, Turtle and Tusk go boom, Tusk looks less silly doing it. Chisel's so good that it made me sad there's never been much reason to play the Mercs. The Machine - 'let me yolo you', it both commands and gets attention. Praise be to HESH.

I had only been playing WOTC for about a month when the Mercenary tanks were introduced into the game. Imagine my surprise! There I was, a total friggin' noob, and suddenly, *these* monstrosities started rolling out! Yikes! 😬
At first, I wanted nothing to do with them, as I'm a bit of purist at heart, and was not interested in Frankentanks (or Tankensteins) whatsoever!
But, eventually, my curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to check 'em out. And, for the most part, I've really enjoyed playing them!
For me, the Merc tanks are for when I'm getting a bit bored with the game in general, and just wanna play something a little bit different.
Anyway, great review, as always! Really looking forward to your upcoming vid on the premium mercenary tanks... the Absolution is absolutely *filthy* ... and I *love* it!

I’m pretty new and your content has helped me immeasurably. Question. I’m doing my 1st contract. It's for the Chisel. Stage 4 requires to only use a medium. I have several mediums and only 2 count towards the stage. One premium and one reg. What am I missing?
It might be that they have to be above a certain tier or that they need to be a certain nation
I belive Machine got buffed recently. Last season I couldn't pen a single shot, but this season I can pen consistently.

The Machine and Chisel are the two best imo.
Mercenary tanks...sigh. I never understood these. I get the gimmick for marketing, looking at new player bases making the game something other than a PC clone...okay I get that, but, I never found a merc tank that wasn't just a flawed imitation of tech tree ones, you can find a regular tech tree or premium as good or better than any of them. There was so much to see and do in the regular game anyway, I didn't think the game needed this gimmick, and the contracts were all mind numbingly grindy. Now with the emphasis on cold war mercs have become largely forgotten, you hardly ever see them in games. The novelty has worn off I guess. Thanks for the video though! Good work.

Can someone explain how I bought a Mercenary contract with silver? I bought the tier 3 I want to buy the chisel but can’t. Or is it only one tank or something. I can not find a single thing on this (or idk how to search) I wanna buy all the tanks and not grind them with silver like I did the tier 3

Personally the Long Reach is my favorite merc tank and the worst tank at the same time.
Originally only one of the few tanks that had 390 damage at tier 6

Merc lines are pretty good , all quite interesting to play.
Has anyone tried the low tier Swedish vehicles lately?
I skipped most swedes to tier7 but yesterday I decided to try the lower tiers and found a tier4 that 1 shots Everything it hits. I only had the heart to play 1 game after getting 8 kills.
My question is has that always been in tier4 ? If so wtf is WG thinking.

Are you talking about the SAV M/43 by any chance? I've looked it over, checked out its stats, nearly bought it a while back, but got busy doing other things and never got back to it.
Tier 4 and 5 td are fun. I have enjoyed tier 4-6 mediums and just unlocked the Leo. I usually run food and use equipment with at least two skills crew (6th sense and The vision one). Otherwise you are at a disadvantage.

Where I skipped the tiers I just put the top modules on , didn't really look at the stats as I was trying to get abbey or mines but ended up on himmelsdorf ? 8 shots I think I fired, 8 hits, 8pens , 8kills. Once I stopped laughing I thought to myself that this is not good for the game in any way.
@@cloraformsgood5340 Oh, I definitely agree... any tank that's just WAAAAAAY overpowered is gonna impact the game in a very negative way! But still, I enjoy playing fun, peculiar tanks (at any tier) sometimes, just for a break from the same ol' - same ol' ... ya know?

I'm always looking for different tanks to play and some of my favourites are the real life historical tanks. Unfortunately most of them are low tiers which is a shame .
Also I'm starting to miss the old maps a lot, which have either been removed or relegated to low tiers.

I was wondering, how can you review a tank you doing own?
I assume he uses his experiences and compares them to stats of tanks he does own. For example, anybody has the experience to look at a tank with 20mm of armor and say "this thing's armor would suck" without testing it.
The Slapjack should have preferential matchmaking. It’s literally useless at tier 9 with that 88.
I worked my arse off for a Machine as I was always getting smashed up by them and I struggle to pin them most the time so when I got one at last I was well ready to chuck myself of the tallest building !!! It was sh_t I hate the thing never play it and u have to fire gold all the time , terrible

If you mean the Trinity Mark II, no, it hasn't been removed; in fact it was available in an Earn Op fairly recently.
But, like the Beach Party, the Absolution, and some others, the Trinity Mark II is a *premium* mercenary tank, which Eclipse mentioned he would do another video on later.

I have many of the Merc tanks but I don’t actually play them much. For me, the fun is in the contracts. I find them varied and challenging and that is why I do the contracts often when they come up. I have heard there are operations in PC that are more like the contracts on console and that is something I could easily get behind.

these tanks would be cool and fun if they werent such a pain in the ass to get, also how expensive stage skips are (even though i never have done that) and yes i know it was EVEN WORSE back in the day, no way casuals would try to complete them even now, theres just no point. maybe if they had cool skins or something. i have the turtle, reach, absoution, needle, deadbolt, & the trinity mk2. i never play them, every now and then ill rip around in the absoultion, reach, & turtle if im bored.
i also hate the chisel.
