Unpopular opinion: we might lose some islands like maldives, mumbai because of high sea levels bt huge lands of syberia, north canada, alaska & greenland will become livable. So global warming could be a blessing in disguise
Probably best science show in India. Pls do more explanation of sub topics. Ex. What is precision?- What is wobbling? Also, use science terminology with the explanation. Ex. explained reflection and then used albedo in different sentence and not together.
You should consider making a video on how do you go about making these science videos. Such as script > gather visuals > write narration > recording video > editing and so on. Your well scripted narrative catches my attention.
After watching this I am more convenienced than ever to never have kids. It will be a sin to bring any child who will have to face such terrible future bcoz of global warming. Not that our generation is any good condition ...we are already facing problems like over population ,lack of jobs, increasing disparity between rich and poor, pollution, pandemic etc.
Thanks for your great work. It is really helpful for UPSC Aspirants like me. Can you please also attach the content in PDF if possible, it actually helps us in preparation.
Hello Print Team. Can we have some episodes on the history of India's greatest scientific institutions/achievements? For example, if we can have a good rundown of ISRO's history the ups/downs, it's missions, the visionaries that made it today. It would be something that a lot more wider audience can enjoy. Just a suggestion, keep the good work on Pure Science.
It was really very informative video. Thank you for that but I have a question. We know that all the sea water is connected globally, the majority of ice present in polar areas is floating on water. We also know that ice is dense than water and the excessive amount of metals and minerals present in it make it even more dense. Then logically even if the entire ice melts it will cause a depression in sea levels since the ice floating on water occupies more space than the actual water present in it by Archimedes principal. Kindly answer how will it increase the water levels?
Suyash Salvekar majority of Antarctic ice is on land. Antarctica is a continent (land mass) covered in thick sheets of ice. Once that melts, all that water will flow into the ocean and get added to global ocean water, rising the sea level globally. This particular video is about Arctic ice, which you are correct, the portion that freezes seasonally on the arctic ocean every winter even if it stops freezing will not cause sea level rise. However the portion of ice on land mass, like the permafrost regions of Siberia, Alaska, Canada, once that ice melts it will also flow into the ocean and add to global sea level rise. This is not to mention the ice shelves that will also melt on mountain ranges like the Himalayas, as temperatures rise, that will further flow into the ocean and contribute to sea level rise. Hope that helps.
I am an avid follower of Pure Science. There is a lot of data and scientific phenomenon that is given out within a 10 minute episode. Could you please consider visual aids. i.e. displaying the numbers, trends on a table or graph and also make some animations explaining scientific phenomenon?
mother earth is going to hit the reset button very soon. given what humanity has done to themselves, fellow living beings and everyone's only home, there is no other option but to reset. let's not have kids and enjoy while we last.
rather start burying the dead ! Regarding your pointless vegan claim only cow produces methan gas, but you need the milk from female cows the industry kills male cows at birth. Only a small fraction of cows are used for meat purpose and leather. do you want to ban farming of cows ? indian has 6 out 10 most populated cities and india by large has most vegetarians.
@@aniruddhakashyap6906 cant you not see the irony in you msg ? only gov can implement bans... being vegan or eco friendly is upto you. If you are against pollution created by cow farming ( methan ) then you should also be against pollution created by burning dead. do the calculations. there is a reason why india has top polluted cities.
But do u think all the population on earth will have that option ...I don't think so...very few people will have that choice...mainly the rich and powerful ones. And as Neil deGrasse Tyson said..the kind of efforts we will need to make Mars habitable are much much more compare to keeping the earth habitable.
Tell me you just copied info's and contents from internet and made a video out of it didn't you?. Tell me something what new info has you given us which is not available on internet from last decades. You guys have become so desperate for content. I thought humans could do better things .

Sandhya's smile on the thumbnail of this video made me think as if melting ice is a happy news for her.

Good one 😂
Better to start buying land in Arctic region .... 60*40 site ... Atlest 30*40 :)
Didn’t you pay attention? Arctic is ocean, no land.
😄😄 start harvesting too
Bottomline: We are all gonna die...Sooner
Would would the believers on Flat Earth Theory say about it
the editing is CHILDISH. What is this star plus?
Sandhya, thank you for listening to me and moving away from camera, even if only slightly.
Next time try a different camera angle.
