My dad is 72, and he does struggle with dual analog sticks. He used to play Halo CE co-op with me back in the day, but these days he is addicted to strategy games. Mostly Company of Heroes (since it reminds him of playing with army men figurines when he was young), and also Age of Empires 2
He mentioned Titanfall 2 and Resident Evil 3, two AAA games, and besides Justin mentioning Call of Duty campaigns, you 3 only mentioned indie games in terms of Shorter games. Shorter AAA games would be Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart Spider-Man Miles Morales Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice Crackdown 3 Deathloop Also if the guy's dad played Doom & Wolfenstein, why not the most recent Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal, and Wolfenstein New Blood and New Order. And yes, dual analog would be a problem if you stopped at SNES, but if u stopped at 90s PC shooters, you understand camera moving around and going forward and back. So dual Analog wouldn't be too hard of a concept to understand.
Playdead basically split up, but people from that company went onto make Somverville (which is like Limbo and Inside but a bit more interesting) and Cocoon. Anyone who likes Inside should play Somerville.
Amazing, masterpiece of a game (and also my 2nd or possibly even top most favorite game) Elden Ring notoriously has bad camera when it comes to fighting large bosses. Those ulcerated tree spirits being the worst, especially when they shove them into a tiny room where there's barely space for it to even exist, let alone for you to maneuver around it and suddenly the camera becomes a second boss you have to fight that's just as dangerous as the main boss.
Why won’t they just write down notes after each question in the video game 20 questions game? Should be easier for them to follow and more fun for us when they are less confused.
"He wants to have fun, so he's probably not interested in TLOU." What??? That was shocking and hilarious at the same time. TLOU is simply one of the very best and most fun games humanity ever produced. Yes, the story if often sad. But not in a way that takes one bit of the fun. Somethings that have elements of sadness, because it tells a serious story, can still be fun. And sometimes the game is better and more fun because of those elements. Of course, not that everyone must feel the same way, but that sentence, associating TLOU with absence of fun is a bizarre way to express what the game is.
Huh modern warfare 3? Nope modern warfare 1 and 2 were remade not 3? I’m sure 3 has never been made for modern consoles except backwards compatible and was ps3 and 360 era
why has this show become so awkward to watch recently? Constantly with the long pauses and the talking over each other....what's the deal? Show wasn't always this hard to watch...

Great show everyone... Quick question though. How do you always know beforehand that you have a great show for us this week?
It used to crack me up when Sam would say “you don’t know that!”
Guess Sam finally changed his internet provider.
It's the Sam Pixel Remaster.
My boys looking real crispy at last.
He has a mustache!? 4K be crazy
LOL
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a go to weekend hit
51:42 That synchronized mumbling was so funny 😂
Steamworld Dig is great. Steamworld Heist though is an underrated gem of a strategy RPG, and I'd much rather see a sequel to that

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Spider-Man Miles Morales
Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice
Crackdown 3
Deathloop

I’m sorry, but did Justin just say he was on a hunting trip? Mind blown. (40:25)
Grew up in Iowa. So, not that surprising in that context.
He's hunting different prey 😢

Cocoon was the best weekend (/single day) game I've played in a long time. Couldnt put it down, incredible experience.
Anyone who likes Inside should play Somerville and Cocoon.
Warhammer Boltgun is a pretty cool new old school style shooter.
Yeah it is! Proteus also.
what was the track as 20 questions starts? 48:48 my guess is capcom, specifically mega man.
On second thought, Is that Rambo for the NES?
It's Shadow of the Ninja, great game.
All of Sam’s pinball trophies are invisi-ball 😅
Not watched all the episode but Sifu is a great weekend game. Lots of side scrolling beat emups too
Tails of Iron is a short game also. Really fun and cool story, fun combat
Dredge was my favourite weekend game in a long time
Too hard! :( gotta go back to it.
Justin: “is the sun coming up? …Then put it on the LEFT!”
Resident Evil 2 is my favorite weekend game
Could we call them "Gen Xecutioners" instead of "Boomer Shooters"?
Happy Friday yall!
Stray is also on Steam, Great Steam Deck Game!
BG3 lol? You dont want to kill the man from boredom!

Because part of the skill is remembering what you asked
Best way to start someone up on dual sticks is og halo! Works like a charm
Balatro is now my personal favorite rogue like card game. GOTY candidate for 2024. Outstanding recommendation! 👍🏽
Recommending Jack Move as a weekend game
A scoop gem 😎
Remember: Not a human
So, games where you play as a human… lemme think
Hey, it's my main Kuma on the thumbnail! 🐻
you guys gotta get rid of that goddamn bird!
Falco?
Sure the guy has an attitude but he's one of our best damn pilots!
Prodeus is my favorite "boomer shooter"

I'm willing to bet the camera question was about more modern problems. I. E. too fast or slow acceleration, and stuttering/juttering.
Is someone clanging a tin can in the background at random?
What's with Sam and all the cat slander? Every cat is the handsomest cat, Sam.
Rand McNally was our gps
A short hike is a great pallet cleaner. Smoke a bowl and go on a short hike.

The guy has a PS4 giving him lots of games he can't play 😔
Huh modern warfare 3? Nope modern warfare 1 and 2 were remade not 3? I’m sure
3 has never been made for modern consoles except backwards compatible and was ps3 and 360 era
Modern warfare 2 2023 is not a remake but a 2nd of the prequels right? And that’s the really bad short one
How about the 71 year old guy play doom 2016 or doom eternal .
FIRST...!!! 🙂
Boomers made those original shooters like doom.
why has this show become so awkward to watch recently? Constantly with the long pauses and the talking over each other....what's the deal? Show wasn't always this hard to watch...
Talking over each other happens when doing remote calls vs when this was in person. Doesn’t seem awkward but pauses go away when you listen on 2x.
Look up how to pronounce Barnsley properly
“Tarn”
